29-year-old Jamie Davis-Jones was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Tuesday on an outstanding warrant from November, charging her with domestic assault. According to an arrest warrant and a witness statement, her husband was attempting to get some rest before work, however, she demanded they have a conversation now, so she could reportedly accuse him of cheating. As he walked to the bedroom to get some rest, she followed him and trapped him inside. When attempted to nudge back past her, she latched onto him, leaving a visible bite injury to his bicep area. She is free on a $2,000 bond.

COMPLAINT:

ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT:
On 11/20/2021 at 1726 hours officers were dispatched to 131 Village Green Dr for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers talked to Victim# 1 (Benjamin/Husband). Suspect# I (Jamie/Wife) was no longer at the scene. Victim# 1 and Suspect# I live together at the dispatched location.

Victim# l stated that he was resting on the living room couch. Suspect# I insisted that they needed to talk at that moment. Victim# I tried to reason with Suspect# I if they could talk later because he needed to rest before going to work. Suspect# I continued to insist they talk. Victim# I got up and walked AWAY towards the bedroom. Suspect# I followed him into the bedroom and shut the door. While in the bedroom, Victim# 1 said Suspect# 1 blocked the door with her body and insisted they talk. When Victim# I tried to nudge past Suspect# I and she bit him in the vicinity of his left bicep.

Witness# 1 stated Suspect# I was accusing Victim# I of cheating on her. Witness# I saw Suspect# I follow Victim# I into the bedroom and shut the door. Witness# I tried to reason with Suspect# I through the closed door that Victim# I was not cheating on her and to allow him to get dressed so they (Victim# I & Witness# l ) could go to work.

Witness# I could tell Suspect #1 had her back against the door as he tried to nudge it open. When Suspect# I took her body weight off the door, Witness# I was able to open the door. As Victim#1 exited, he remarked that Suspect# I bit him. Victim# I went to the bathroom to look at the bite mark. Witness #1 did not see the Suspect #1 bite Victime #1 but saw the visible injury.

Based on Witness #1’s statement, officers determined suspcct# I was the primary aggressor. Witness #1 ‘s statement and Victim #1 physical injury provided officers probable cause to seek prosecution against Suspect #1 for the offense. Also, Victim#1 obtained an Order of Protection (OOP) against Suspect#!.
