22-year-old Jaqueline Galvin Rubio is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after her mother says Jacqueline used a kitchen pan to strike her after an argument about drug use. A police report shows that Jaqueline initially grabbed a knife to use toward her mother, but ended up cutting herself with it, by mistake. She is free on a $7,500 bond.

| The victim stated that she was in the kitchen cooking when her daughter, the defendant, came into the kitchen to cook as well. She stated that she began speaking to her daughter about her drug use and asked if she was using drugs. The victim stated that her daughter became angry and started to argue. The victim stated that her daughter grabbed a knife. the victim was attempting to take the knife from her daughter. She stated that in the altercation for the knife that the daughter cut her own finger by mistake. The victim stated that her daughter began screaming “you cut me” and that she grabbed a pan from the counter and struck the victim in the head with it. There were injuries consistent with her account of the incident after the investigation. It was determined that the defendant was the primary aggressor in an aggravated assault. |
