Police say 21-year-old Kaleb Elliott walked into the Dirt Cheap Discount Store in Madison and caused a disturbance with employees. When asked to leave he repeatedly and aggressively shouted “I’ll slap the shit out of you” and advanced on Neioki Key in an aggressive manner, causing her to fear imminent bodily injury. As Elliott was leaving the store he punched the glass door to the business, shattering it. He fled the scene and led officers on a short chase before eventually being taken into custody. He is jailed in lieu of an $11,000 bond.

| On 01/05/22 at approximately 1515 hours, Officers were dispatched to Dirt Cheap Discount Store located at 1142 Gallatin Pike S on a disorderly person call. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the victim and the witness who both stated the defendant came into the store and caused a disturbance. When employees asked the defendant to leave, he continued to cause a disturbance by shouting aggressively and making the statement “I’ll slap the shit out of you” and advanced on the victim in a threatening manner, intentionally causing the victim to fear imminent bodily injury. Once the defendant exited the store, he punched the glass door, causing it to break in several places. Officers observed the damage to the door. Officers attempted to stop the defendant for questioning. When approached, the defendant ran, changing directions of flight several times, intentionally preventing Officers from effecting a stop. Once Officers made contact with the defendant, he resisted, pulling away from Officers, intentionally obstructing Officers from effecting an arrest. Officers were able to take the defendant into custody. |
