Metro Nashville Police say they were watching 22-year-old Jackson McClain stumble down Broadway in downtown Nashville when he came upon a MNPD police car and fell over onto it, nearly knocking off the side mirror. They approached him and attempted to get him a safe ride home, however, he became defiant and disorderly, aggressively refusing all assistance. He was charged with public intoxication and transported to booking.

| On 01/02/2022 at around 0045 hours, officers were in the area of 329 Broadway when they observed the defendant, Jackson Curtis Mcclain, stumbling around. Officers observed Mcclain fall over onto a police car, almost knocking the side mirror off. Officers approached Mcclain, who smelt strongly of alcohol, was slurring, and was obviously heavily intoxicated. Officers attempted to provide Mcclain with a safe ride home via a taxi and he became defiant and disorderly towards officers. Mcclain was obviously highly intoxicated, unsteady on his feet, and unable to care for himself safely due to his level of intoxication. He was then placed under arrest for public intoxication. |
