24-year-old Jack Charrlin, of Highland Park, IL, is charged with felony vandalism after police say he pounded on the glass door side exit door of Honky Tonk Central on Broadway in downtown Nashville until it was completely shattered and destroyed. Bouncer Brandon Valentin says Charrlin was pulling on the exit door from the outside, increasingly becoming more agitated he could not enter through the side door. Charrlin eventually started hitting the door until it shattered. He was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail and is free on a $3,500 cash bond.
|ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT:|
|On 01/08/2022, while working The Entertainment District Initiative, Officer Ester observed the defendant outside of Honky Tonk Central, at 329 Broadway, trying to enter the bar through a closed side door. The defendant was observed repeatedly pulling on a door that was locked from the outside preventing him from opening the door.|
After a short time, a bouncer at the bar (Mr. Valentin) open the door the defendant was trying to enter to allow patrons from inside to leave. After the patrons left, the bouncer closed the door before the defendant was able to enter the establishment. Once the door closed, Officer Ester observed the defendant try to open the door again without luck. The defendant became agitated and started hitting the glass door, causing the glass to break.
Officers spoke with bar employees who advised that the last time the glass was broken on the door it cost $1400 to replace the glass.
