20-year-old Samuel “Harp” Lane from Mountain Lake, NJ, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail late Friday night after he destroyed the door to Rippy’s Honky Tonk in downtown Nashville. The underage Bowdoin college student was inside the bar and heavily intoxicated according to witnesses when he cause a disturbance and was asked to leave. As he was exiting the bar he kicked the door with his foot, shattering it. Lane is charged with public intoxication and felony vandalism. He is free on a $4,000 bond.

| On 01/07/2022 Officers responded to Rippy’s Bar at 429 Broadway where witnesses stated that the defendant was inside the business and was intoxicated and being disorderly, As the defendant was exiting the business he kicked the front door, which destroyed it. The defendant had the odor of alcohol coming from his breath, had blood shot eyes, slurred speech, and was unsteady on his feet. He was taken into custody without incident. The value of the door is in excess of $1000.00 The victim wished to prosecute for the vandalism. |
