Police say 28-year-old Lillian Stout-Cox was at Top Golf with her husband, Paul Cox, who owns a Goodlettsville car lot. She reportedly became upset after he would not hire her brother and caused such a scene that Paul took a rideshare back to the car lot. By the time he arrived, Lillian was already there waiting for him. Security video shows another argument occurred, this time after she demanded some of his prescribed medication (Klonopin) as she searched the office for them. When she realized they were in his possession she began destroying computer monitors and furniture throughout the office. Stout-Cox is charged with domestic assault and vandalism and is free on a $2,000 bond.

COMPLAINT:
2022-0011841
ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT:
On 01/09/2022 at approximately 1549 hrs I was dispatched to a car dealership located at 1243 Dickerson Pike S for a report of a domestic disturbance. On scene, police met with the victim (Paul Cox) who stated the defendant (Lillian Stout-Cox) had assaulted him and vandalized his place of business. Paul and the defendant are married. Paul is the owner of the car dealership where the incident occurred.

Paul stated he was at Top Golf with the defendant when they started arguing. Paul stated the argument began because the defendant wants him to hire her brother at the dealership, and Paul told the defendant no. Paul stated the argument got intense so he told the defendant he was going to uber back to 1243 Dickerson Pike S and separate from the defendant so they can both cool off.

Paul stated when he arrived at 1243 Dickerson Pike S, the defendant was there waiting for him. Paul stated when he walked inside, he and the defendant started arguing again. Paul stated the defendant started asking him for his prescribed Klonopin pills (Clonazepam) and began searching for them in his office. Paul stated when he told the defendant he had possession of the pills, and she could not have any, the defendant started pushing him and started knocking tables over.

Paul stated the defendant pushed him several times. Paul stated she knocked over 3-4 tables with computer monitors on them and broke at least two of them. Each monitor was approximately $289, equaling approximately $578 for both monitors. Paul stated they have video surveillance of the incident. Police observed the video and it showed the defendant pushing Paul several times and the defendant vandalizing the business. Paul stated the defendant left the scene when police were called. Paul is willing to prosecute.

There were two witnesses to the entire incident. Both witnesses’ statements corroborated Pauls’s. Due to the visible damage to the business, the witness statement of the incident, and the video surveillance observed by police, police have probable cause to obtain warrants on the victim’s behalf.
