Metro Nashville Police observed 29-year-old John Terrell driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee just before 1 a.m. Friday and paced him traveling at 60 mph in a 40 mph zone. The officer followed the vehicle as it ran a red light and turned onto Knob Road in West Nashville. As the vehicle was turning into a driveway, the officer activated his lights for a traffic stop. The driver, Terrell, then left from the vehicle, walking toward the front door of the house, which was his, with his pants unzipped. After multiple directives, Terrell eventually made his way to the officer’s vehicle, where he stated he and his fiance had returned from a convention in downtown Nashville and he had two beers prior to driving. Terrell has a prior DUI conviction from 2011 in Georgia.
John Henry Terrell was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on May 20th, and charged with driving under the influence (DUI). A commissioner set his bond at $2,500, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
