Car show enthusiast Jose Cruz jailed for driving without a license

18-year-old Jose Cruz was leaving a car meet in his red Mustang on Franklin Pike as officers pulled into the parking lot where the sideshow was happening on Franklin Pike. Officers noticed the clear plastic cover on the temporary license plate made it unreadable and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. Cruz stated he did not a driver’s license and was taken into custody on the charge as officers were unable to positively identify him for a citation.

Jose Cruz of Neelys Bend Road in Madison, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on October 28th, charged with no driver’s license. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $100, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
