Tyler Cobb charged after bringing a UHaul to a car meet/sideshow [video]

21-year-Tyler Cobb is charged with aggravated reckless driving and felony evading arrest after he drove a UHaul truck to a car meet/sideshow Friday night (video below). At the time of his arrest, he was free on a $50,000 bond from a February incident in which he allegedly pointed a gun at two persons who were taunting car meet participants with “rubber testicles.” Officers observed him doing donuts in the UHaul during the meet on Corporate Drive, and he fled from an MNPD lieutenant who was using lights and sirens. a THP chopper followed Cobb until he was ultimately apprehended by a THP Trooper in Murfreesboro. He was charged with additional offenses in Rutherford County.

This arrest was part of a coordinated street racer enforcement effort by MNPD Traffic officers, Violent Crimes Division, South Precinct Officers, and THP Troopers, along with multiple aircraft. A number of citations were also written during the operation for violations, including speeding, excessive noise, careless driving, running red lights, failure to use a turn signal, and not having proof of insurance.
