22-year-old John Cunningham and his friend, William Swanner, were denied entry to the Kung Fu Saloon late Saturday night due to their already high level of intoxication. Employee Elias Medina escorted the two away from the venue as they were refusing to leave. Medina noticed Cunningham had a rock in his hand and believed he was about to use it to assault him. He was then taken to the ground and detained until police arrived. The victim signed a private prosecution warrant for assault, and Cunningham was taken into custody.
