25-year-old Azriya Smith was jailed on April 20th after assaulting her newlywed husband at their home on Trails Circle. Police spoke with Bryan Sanders, who stated that his wife scratched him in his face during an argument. Smith admitted to the argument and scratching her husband’s face and was determined to be the primary aggressor. Sanders did not wish to press charges, but due to domestic violence laws, she was taken into custody.
Zaruya Gania Smith was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on April 20, charged with domestic assault with bodily injury. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $1,000.
