Massachusetts Tourist Errol Walshe deemed too drunk for Broadway

61-year-old Massachusetts tourist Errol Walshe was jailed in Nashville early February 11th after becoming too intoxicated to remain inside Honky Tonk Central on Broadway. Bouncers attempted to escort him outside, but Walshe refused to leave the venue. Walshe remained disorderly and was given a chance to leave with his friends once the police arrived. Walshe also refused that opportunity to walk away. Walshe began to get into officer’s faces and was eventually taken into custody and transported to booking.

Aimee Trevino deemed too drunk for Bridgestone Arena

44-year-old Aimee Trevino was detained by security at Bridgestone Arena late February 9th after becoming extremely intoxicated and disorderly inside the venue. Metro Nashville Police were contacted and arrived to find Trevino unable to stand without assistance. As Trevino was being escorted to the patrol car, she began to actively resist arrest by pulling away and kicking officers at the scene. Trevino was taken into custody for public intoxication on February 10th.

Scott Miller charged in DUI crash after drinking Bourbon shots before driving

55-year-old Scott Miller and his wife attended a concert in Madison Saturday night before he crashed their vehicle on I-40 on the way home just before 1 a.m. Metro Fire responded to the scene, but Miller and the passengers denied all assistance and stated their son was coming to pick them up. Metro Nashville Police arrived a short time later to find Miller still in the driver’s seat with his eyes closed. He reportedly reeked of alcohol and admitted to consuming Bourbon shots prior to driving. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for DUI.

Vanderbilt Wrestler Brayden Thomas Edman jailed after being too drunk to care for himself in public

21-year-old Vanderbilt wrestler Brayden Thomas Edman was found wandering through the lobby of a building at 2 a.m. Saturday, while attempting to gain access to restricted upper floors. Building security alerted Metro Nashville Police, who responded to the scene. “B.T.” Edman initially told officers he was simply attempting to find his vehicle. He had extremely slurred speech and kept pulling out his wallet when asked if he could use his phone to arrange a rideshare away from the scene. He eventually stated his phone was “in the hallway,” but it was not found. The officer also attempted to locate the party that Edman claimed brought him to the address without success. Edmon admitted to consuming two shots of alcohol and drinking three cocktails. He refused all medical assistance and was eventually taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Samuel Lusty slashes tires of girlfriend & roommate after breakup

23-year-old Samuel Lusty was jailed Saturday after slashing the tires of his girlfriend, Kristin Lusty, and her roommate, Abigail Clark, as he was upset about the end of a relationship. Police say Lusty and Kristin Cowart broke up Friday evening after arguing all day. Lusty reportedly became angry and began to threaten to beat up Cowart, and also get her jumped by his friends. Lusty then slashed the rear tires of Cowart’s Ford Escape, and the left rear tire of her roommate’s Nissan Altima. Lusty had fled the scene before officers arrived but was apprehended a short time later.

Brooks Balentine jailed after being too intoxicated at Bridgestone Arena Friday

21-year-old Brooks Balentine was reportedly drunk and disorderly at the Bridgestone Arena Friday and was detained by security until Metro Nashville Police arrived and took him into custody. They observed Balentine in an extreme state of intoxication, slumped over, and unable to stand on his own or even remain conscious throughout their interaction. He was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Vanderbilt Nurse Hannah Hooper berates cops with derogatory slurs during drunken arrest

23-year-old Vanderbilt Nurse Hannah Hooper refused to leave Luke Bryan’s Bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville early Saturday morning. Security initially located her on the steps leading to the rooftop, where she was overly intoxicated and causing a disturbance. Officers had arrived to assist security, and she informed them she was not leaving the bar and attempted to return to enjoying her evening. Officers attempted to guide her outside, but she refused to cooperate and pushed officers. She was taken down and into custody. She became combative and kicked officers, eventually having to be placed into a wheelchair to be transported outside safely. Police say that during transport to booking, Hannah Hooper berated officers by calling them derogatory slurs. Her friends informed officers that she was a nurse at Vanderbilt during the arrest. She is charged with assaulting an officer, resisting arrest, and criminal trespassing.

Nashville Sheriff Corporal BJ Hayes charged after punching & strangling inmate

31-year-old Bryson ‘BJ’ Hayes, who is a Corporal at the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, was jailed Monday on an outstanding felony warrant charging him with the felony aggravated assault and strangulation of an inmate in December. DCSO Investigators turned over video surveillance of the incident to Metro Nashville Police Detectives earlier this year. Police say the video clearly shows an inmate spitting on Hayws on two separate occasions. After the second occasion, Hayes begins to punch the inmate with a closed fist and throws him to the ground, where he places him in a chokehold restraint position. The victim told investigators he had trouble breathing while being restrained with the officer’s hands around his neck. During an interview, Hayes admitted to strangling the inmate and agreed he used unapproved tactics in response to the situation. Police interviewed multiple employees who also witnessed the incident.  

Ronny Edmonds flees from THP Troopers — they wait for him in his neighborhood

18-year-old Ronny Edmonds sped past a THP Trooper on January 19th and crossed several lanes of traffic, nearly colliding with another vehicle. The Trooper attempted a traffic stop, and Edmonds slowed his white BMW as if he were complying. Suddenly, Edmonds accelerated to 90 mph and sped away. Due to the snow and ice covering the road, it was not safe to pursue in real time; however, the Trooper recorded his license plate number. Troopers relocated to his neighborhood and observed him pulling into his driveway on Jay Street just twenty minutes later. Edmonds was taken into custody. A bag containing 12 grams of marijuana was found in the center console.

Cory Gardner uses Tesla to strike motorist who cut him off in traffic

33-year-old Cory Gardner used his Tesla T-3 to strike another vehicle that had cut him off in traffic. Police say a vehicle cut him off on Northcreek Blvd in Goodlettsville on December 19. As both vehicles approached the intersection at Long Hollow Pike, Cory was in the left lane, and the other vehicle in the right. When the light turned green, Cory turned right from the left lane, striking the vehicle that had cut him off earlier. He was cited for reckless driving and booked on that charge this week.
