MLS Coach Nick Theslof jailed after drunken night in Nashville

48-year-old soccer player turned coach, Nick Theslof was jailed in Nashville early Saturday morning after reportedly spitting on a female security guard and falling asleep in a parking garage after a night of heavy drinking. Officers located Theslof asleep in the travel lane of the parking garage and attempted to wake him several times. Theslof did not want to wake up and told officers to “fuck off” and “go fuck yourself” multiple times. He reeked of alcohol and was not sure of who or where he was. He was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication. Theslof is an assistant coach for the LA Galaxy Major League Soccer team.

Catholic High School President J. Marshall Hyzdu jailed after harassing women in Nashville bar

45-year-old Catholic school president James Marshall Hyzdu was jailed in Nashville Saturday after reportedly following women around a Nashville bar, making them feel uncomfortable. Security at The Twelve Thirty Club says Hyzdu came into the bar and began to follow women around, making them uncomfortable and annoyed with the behavior. Hyzdu was escorted out of the location, only to return and continue the behavior. According to security, he was escorted out of the building six times and continued to return, even changing his clothing once to change his appearance. He was eventually detained until Metro Nashville Police arrived and took him into custody. They noted his extreme level of intoxication and had no one to contact to retrieve him or assist him back to his hotel. J. Chaz Brown throws woman at wall after sending “Personal Video” of her to another woman

42-year-old Chaz McKenzie Brown had a domestic incident with Brandon Griffith at their Brentwood Oaks Drive apartment unit on the afternoon of March 2nd. The following day, Griffith alerted the authorities, advising that on March 2nd, Brown sent a “personal video” of her to another woman without permission. This sparked an argument, during which Brown picked up and threw Griffith against the wall twice, causing shoulder pain. Then, Brown started throwing Griffith’s belongings outside of the apartment. Brown pushed Griffith out of the door, hitting her leg and bruising it. Brown was taken into custody for domestic assault on March 4th.

18-year-old Madison Martin punches woman in face during argument at Walnut Youth Academy

18-year-old Madison Martin had an altercation with Krislee Murphy at Walnut Youth Academy, where they reside, on Stewarts Ferry Pike around 2 p.m. on March 7th. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Martin, who stated that she and Murphy had argued, and Murphy said something that Martin did not like, so she “swung” at her. Officers reviewed surveillance footage, which showed Martin walking up to Murphy and exchanging words with her before striking her in the face, leaving a red bruise on her cheek. Murphy told officers that she did not wish to prosecute for the punch. Martin was taken into custody for assault.

Dyrize Brown punches girlfriend multiple times during argument at WeGo Central Transit Center

20-year-old Dyrize Javonie Brown had a domestic incident with his girlfriend, Dawnesha Lashawn Blaylock, at the WeGo Central Transit Center on Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard on October 15th, 2023. When the detectives arrived, they spoke with Blaylock, who was visibly upset as she reported that she and Brown argued. Blaylock explained the argument became physical when Brown punched her in the face multiple times. Officers could not any review camera footage because the altercation happened outside the bus station. Blaylock was also unsure exactly where because she was running away from Brown. After Blaylock described Brown to the officers, she told them that she wanted to speak with a counselor at her leisure and then was transported to night court to obtain an order of protection. Blaylock refused all medical treatment and did not need shelter since she felt safe. Brown was taken into custody for domestic assault on March 7

Alexia Jones caught using her phone while driving down Briley Parkway

21-year-old Alexia Jadyn Jones was observed using her phone while she drove down Briley Parkway around 8 p.m. on July 16th, 2023. Officers observed this and initiated a traffic stop. Jones was cited for the violation. Jones was booked on the citation of driving while using a cell device on March 7th.

Andreas Green charged after walking out on tab at Mellow Mushroom

33-year-old Andreas Green walked out on a tab without paying at Mellow Mushroom on Broadway late March 7th. Security for the establishment flagged officers down regarding the incident. Officers went to meet with Green, who became agitated with them as they approached, refusing their orders. Officers then escorted Green back to Mellow Mushroom, where he still could not pay his tab. Officers noticed he was visibly intoxicated, deemed him as a danger to himself and others, and then detained him. During a subsequent search, Officers located brass knuckles and a handgun in Green’s backpack. Green was taken into custody for the possession of a weapon while under the influence, possession of a prohibited weapon, and public intoxication.

18-Year-Old Keronte Caldwell steals multiple ski masks worth $100 from Opry Mills Mall

18-year-old Keronte Caldwell stole from Sun and Ski Sports in Opry Mills Mall on the evening of March 7th. When officers arrived, they spoke with the store manager, who advised them that Caldwell entered the store and went to the ski mask section of the store, handling several masks suspiciously. The manager approached Caldwell and witnessed him putting three to seven ski masks inside his backpack and pants, totaling around $100. The manager then told Caldwell to leave the store and that the police would be called. Caldwell left the store without paying and was spotted outside by officers. Caldwell was detained after a brief pursuit toward the wood line on the outskirts of the mall. Caldwell consented to a search where officers located the ski masks in his hoodie pocket. Caldwell was taken into custody for theft and evading arrest.

DUI: Kevin Miller Jr. found passed out in car, tells officers he did not drink

31-year-old Kevin Miller Jr. was asleep behind the wheel of his car, with its hazard lights activated in the middle lane near the Bell Road and Blue Hole Road intersection in the early hours of March 8th. Officers observed this and conducted a community caretaking stop, during which Miller Jr. had woken up. When officers approached, they asked Miller Jr. to exit the vehicle, and when he did, he showed multiple signs of intoxication, reeking of alcohol. Officers noticed Miller Jr. had a holster protruding from his pants pocket, so they asked where his handgun was. Miller Jr. explained that the gun was mounted via magnet under the vehicle’s dashboard. Officers asked if Miller Jr. would take sobriety tests, which he did and performed poorly. Officers then went to detain Miller Jr., but he became resistive. Shortly after, Miller Jr. complied and was put in the back of the patrol car. Miller Jr. then tried to extend his leg, preventing officers from closing the door. Then, another officer assisted and pulled Miller Jr. in from the other side. Officers informed Miller Jr. of implied consent once he was secured in the backseat but refused to answer whether he consented. Miller Jr. kept asking officers why he was arrested, which was already told to him, then Miller Jr. stated he was not drunk and did not drink. Miller Jr. also claimed that he had performed a breathalyzer test, which he had not done. Miller Jr. was taken into custody for driving under the influence, implied consent, resisting arrest, and possessing a weapon while under the influence.

Franklin Attorney Dustin Ray Spain fails to appear in court after speeding in Tesla

42-year-old Dustin Ray Spain, owner of Grassland Financial Services, sped in his Tesla on Ashland City Highway near Old Hickory Boulevard early July 25th, 2023, according to police. Officers reportedly observed Spain traveling 68 mph in a 50 mph zone and conducted a traffic stop where they discovered his tags had been expired since May 2023. Spain was cited for speeding and having expired tags. Spain failed to appear for an October 2023 court date, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Dustin Spain was taken back into custody on March 7th.
