Mark Tabb to ex-girlfriend: “I’m going to rape you!”

32-year-old Mark Tabb told his ex-girlfriend, “I am going to rape you,” during an argument about her current relationship. Police spoke with his ex-girlfriend on August 6th, who said that Mark and she were arguing at an apartment on Murfreesboro Pike the day prior. She said after he told her he would rape her, he grabbed her by the throat, strangled her, and inserted two fingers into her vagina. She said that t she could escape and flee the apartment, and she showed police video she took while her phone was under the pillow. Police said that they had no visuals but had audio. After she arrived back again on August 5th, she said that they argued again. This time Mark brandished a large black hunting knife at her and told her, ” I can not let you leave.” When she escaped this time, she fled to the Speedway on Murfreesboro Pike, where police met up with her. While the police were speaking to her, Mark entered the store. He was then placed into custody. Mark stated that he did not know about the incident. But he admitted to him being the man that was recorded in the video that the ex-girlfriend showed police and said that he did not mean to say those words.

Jose Squiabro burned girlfriend with cigarette while raping her; pinning her down

29-year-old Jose Squiabro allegedly offered to give his ex-girlfriend, Elisabeth, information after an argument if she had sex with him against her will. On May 19th, Jose’s girlfriend reported three incidents between her and Jose. On May 22nd, Jose was booked for a domestic assault with her, but the other incidents required more investigating at the time. The sexual assaults occurred after an argument she and Jose had. She said that after the argument, he was reluctant to talk unless she “made” him talk by giving him fellatio. He then grabbed her head, forced her down onto his penis, and burnt her with a lit cigarette on her wrist, anally penetrated and vaginally penetrated her. She said that she told him repeatedly to stop, but he refused, grabbed her hair, and pinned her down to keep her from resisting. The noise then reportedly awoke her roommate, who came downstairs to tell them to “shut the fuck up.” She said at this time, Jose stopped and left the apartment. As days passed, Ms. Greiser said that her anus felt worse and worse, so she went to the hospital on May 16th. The medical staff noted five to seven cigarette burns on her wrist and hemorrhoids, which Special Victims Detectives reviewed. Medical staff also urged the woman to report the incident to the police. Detectives saw a picture of the burns and spoke to the roommate, who said she was present during the incident. They attempted to speak to Jose several times but could not obtain an official statement.

Tyler Busby punches girlfriend in face, strangles her, per report

32-year-old Tyler Busby attacked his girlfriend during an argument at the La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Nashville South on Sidco Dr. On August 1st, MNPD officers arrived at La Quinta Inn about a domestic assault and spoke to Amber Jackson, Tyler’s girlfriend. She told police that she and Tyler were arguing when Tyler punched her in the face and strangled her. She was seen by NFD medics due to the redness on her neck and said that she struggled to breathe for about five seconds.

Andrew Cheesman assaults yet another woman while out on bond for a prior sadistic assault

32-year-old Andrew Cheesman was jailed on July 8th for assaulting his fiancee at their home on Mullen Circle after an argument about suspected cheating. When police arrived, they saw Christina Rodriguez on the front lawn with red marks on her neck and back. She had a bruise on the inside of her left hand and told police her fiance had tried to take her phone the night before because he thought she was cheating on him. That caused a brief altercation during which she sustained a back injury.

According to Rodriguez, there was another fight that day when Cheesman said, “You’re ruining my life,” and began strangling her. Rodriguez tried to push him off of her, and he grabbed her by the wrist and started hitting his own face with her hand, saying, “If I’m going to jail, you’re going with me.” He had a small cut above his left eyebrow and small red marks on his neck. He told police that it was Rodriguez that tried to take his phone, then got on top of him and started hitting him. There were no witnesses or camera footage of the incident, nor was there a significant difference in injuries; however, due to Cheesman’s repeated domestic violence history with multiple other women and the size comparison, he was determined to be the primary aggressor. In 2021 we covered his arrest when he was accused of the brutal sadistic assault of a woman. He was out on bond for that case when this new assault occurred.

Jared Taylor charged with attempted murder of his infant daughter

25-year-old Jared Taylor is charged with the attempted murder of his infant daughter. The child’s grandmother heard crying at 7:30 p.m. on July 1 and walked in on Taylor while he was standing over the child. He was pressing the child’s head into the bed, appearing to suffocate her. She screamed at him, and he stopped but “appeared unfazed.” He initially claimed he was placing a blanket over the child, but later admitted he was trying to get her to stop crying. He stated he was “not using his full body weight because that would probably snap her neck.” Taylor is jailed in lieu of a $175,000 bond.

Keioka Caldwell charged in assault of ex-girlfriend after bad breakup

33-year-old Keioka Caldwell and her girlfriend, Elonnie Woodard, recently ended their relationship and got into a verbal argument over the situation on June 9. While at Elonnie’s home, Keioka was reportedly intoxicated and began to “talk foul” about her ex to another woman via phone. Elonnie says Keioka began to abuse her verbally, so she smacked the phone from her hand but didn’t cause any damage. Keioka reportedly then began to strangle her ex and pull her hair. The victim says she was choked a second time and nearly lost consciousness. A witness intervened to end the fight and corroborated the events to responding officers.

Jeremy Mansfield charged with strangling his 9-year-old daughter

40-year-old Jeremy Mansfield was jailed this week on an outstanding warrant charging him with the aggravated assault and strangulation of his 9-year-old daughter in January. The warrant alleges that during his custodial weekend of January 20, Mansfield got on top of his daughter and strangled her until she almost passed out. At the time of the incident, officers documented visible bruising on her next that was consistent with the assault, which was also overheard by the victim’s older sister.

Craig McCowan charged in strangulation of ex-girlfriend at Church Street residence

33-year-old Craig McCowan was jailed on June 2nd after reportedly strangling his Ex-Girlfriend, Mary McPherson, against a wall at their home on Church Street. Mccowan told police he was trying to grab her backpack, not her neck.

Timothy Moore attacked a woman; she grabbed him by the balls in self-defense

20-year-old Timothy Moore was booked this week on an outstanding warrant from December 2022, when he assaulted Neveah Douglas after an argument turned violent on Hicks Road. Police responded to a neighbor’s house, where they met with Ms. Douglas, who was bleeding from her eye and in severe pain. She told police that an argument started about Moore being upset that his family wasn’t there for him. He threw a black and mild at her throat, and the argument escalated. When Ms. Douglas threatened to call the police, Moore got on top of her and strangled her, so she grabbed him by the balls to get him off of her then he slapped her in the face. The slaps turned into punches, and he reportedly hit her in the eye with a remote.

21-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Bradley Cheek was Jailed on April 22 for attacking his ex-girlfriend after she picked him up from Broadway and allowed him to stay the night. Mr. Cheek called his ex, Hannah Gibbs asking for a ride and a place to stay. When they arrived at Gibbs’ place, they started to argue, and she told Cheek to leave several times. Gibbs told police that he walked out of the bedroom, so she got up and locked the door behind him, but he threatened to “Kick the door down in 2 seconds.” She decided to open the door, and he whispered, “It was a good decision because I’m 170lbs of pure muscle, and if I wanted to, I could destroy you.”

Gibbs then turned her head away from Cheek, and he grabbed her by her neck with both hands until she started to cry, and he let go. When she tried to leave the bedroom, he put his hands on her face to stop her. Gibbs returned to her bed and tried to leave again, but Cheek picked her up and put her back on the bed. Gibbs said every time she tried to leave after that, he would pull her back by her hair as he stood in the doorway. Gibbs showed the police a video of Cheek blocking the bedroom doorway.
