Harrington Place Dining at Belmont scored 72 on health inspection

Harrington Place Dining inside Belmont University scored a 72 on a health inspection on October 26th. The inspector’s report says employees were eating cherries on the line. The dish machine did not reach the required temperature to clean appropriately, so it cannot be used until it is repaired and re-inspected. Chicken and sausage were improperly stored in the cooler, and items labeled 9/28 and 9/26 were without expiration information on them. The inspector observed the chicken being prepped on 10/26 and dated for 10/27. A roach crawled on the counter, and ice cream cones were not adequately covered. In total, cherries, dented cans, sausage, chicken, and an unlabeled bottle with blue liquid were all embargoed during the visit, totaling five pounds.

Morgan Batson smashes beer bottle toward ex, leaving him wet and blood-covered

25-year-old Morgan Batson’s ex-boyfriend, Stephen Thomas, told police that Morgan showed up at Lakeside Lounge when she recognized his vehicle outside on Monday night. He said she threw a bottle at him, but it missed, shattering against the wall and covering him with the contents. He said Morgan then picked up the glass from the shattered bottle, cutting her hand and flinging the blood at Thomas. Police observed blood on the front of Thomas’ shirt, consistent with his story. The bartender told police she saw the incident and described it similarly to Thomas’ account. Thomas suffered no injuries, and Morgan promptly left in her vehicle after the incident, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

William Holden charged in brutal assault of Arden Belanger

21-year-old William Holden was jailed Tuesday on an outstanding warrant charging him with the brutal assault of Arden Belanger. The warrant details that Holden threw Belanger to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked him until witnesses were able to pull him off of the victim. Belanger suffered a bloody nose, facial lacerations, and a sprained ankle as a result of the attack.

DUI: Ryan Taugher claims he’s just waiting on his Chipolte, police say he’s too drunk to drive

28-year-old Ryan Taugher was driving a blue Mercedes in North Nashville Friday and parked at the Chipotle on Rosa L. Parks Blvd when police encountered the vehicle, parked partially in the striped handicapped area. Officers approached the car and Taugher stated he was waiting for his order. He admitted to drinking “3 or 4 mimosas” earlier, and police say he reeked of alcohol. He refused all testing and was transported to booking, charged with DUI.

Patton Punch: Asyriah Eubanks punches boyfriend in face at Belmont’s Patton Hall Dorms, upset over phone messages

18-year-old Belmont University student Asyriah Eubanks was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail overnight after multiple calls from other students in the Patton Hall dorm resulted in campus security responding to a ruckus on the 3rd floor. Eubanks admits that she punched her boyfriend, Derick Staples, in the face, which left a scratch below his eye. She had reportedly noticed messages between Derick and another female on his phone, and he was attempting to explain what the conversation was about, however, she no longer wanted to speak on the matter. Staples reportedly followed her to the 3rd floor, where she resides, at which point she punched him in the face with a closed fist while he was still speaking. Security detained both parties until police arrived. Eubanks posted a $1,000 cash bond.

Belmont’s Potter Hall Brawl — Aidan Murphy charged in assault of roommate on campus

19-year-old Aidan Murphy was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Monday, charged with the domestic assault of his college roommate, Ryan Fleming, at Belmont University. He reportedly pushed his roommate into a heating unit and punched him in the face at least twice, causing injuries after Fleming reportedly made comments about his mental health when Murphy accused him of taking a backpack.
