DUI: Samuel Nissen drinks one craft beer before crashing car on I-24 East

29-year-old Samuel Allen Nissen was involved in a two-car accident on I-24 East near exit 54 on March 24th. When detectives arrived, they spoke with Nissen and discovered he was the driver. He told them that he did not have a valid driver’s license. While Nissen was speaking, officers noticed that he showed multiple signs of impairment and asked him to take sobriety tests. Nissen consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. After explaining implied consent, Nissen agreed to provide a breath sample, resulting in 0.026 BAC%. He was Mirandized and then admitted to drinking one craft beer but could not remember what size, brand, or how strong it was. Nissen was taken into custody for driving without a valid license and driving under the influence.

DUI: Gelilla Lakew blows 0.206% BAC after hitting parked car in Camaro

25-year-old Gelilla Lakew drove her yellow Camaro into a parked vehicle at a Blairfield Drive residence late March 3rd. When detectives responded to the scene, they spoke with the owners of the parked car, who advised them that the driver fled after the collision. Officers located the Camaro in the middle of the road with heavy front-end damage and red paint transfer, matching the parked vehicle. Several witnesses told them that a black female wearing all black, later identified as Lakew, stumbled away from the car as she left. Detectives investigated and discovered the registered owner resided at a nearby Blairfield Drive address. Officers went to the address to conduct a knock-and-talk. Lakew’s mother answered the door and told officers that her daughter was driving the Camaro and that she left it in the middle of the road because it would not drive any further. When they went to speak with Gelilla, she was wearing all black like the description witnesses provided and told officers she was driving home from work but did not remember crashing. Officers noticed she was visibly intoxicated and asked for her to take sobriety tests, which she consented to and performed poorly. Lakew was explained implied consent and agreed to provide a breath sample, which resulted in 0.206 BAC%. Lakew was taken into custody for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.

Donavan Carr throws TV at girlfriend during argument

29-year-old Donavan Morton Carr had a domestic incident with his girlfriend, Dameneke Charles, at her Bridgeway Circle apartment late February 24th. Charles spoke with officers when they arrived and advised them that she and Carr had a verbal dispute that turned physical when he slapped her in the face. Then, Charles said the scuffle moved to the living room, where Carr grabbed and threw Charles’ television at her, striking her in the face. Charles stated that Carr grabbed her by the throat, pinned her against the wall, and held her there. Officers observed swelling on her face and an abrasion on her chin. Carr was deemed as the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for vandalism and domestic assault on February 25th.

Synthia Parks drunkenly bites boyfriend in back during altercation

61-year-old Synthia Parks had a domestic incident with her boyfriend, Myron Green, at their shared residence on Tanglewood Court on February 18th. Officers arrived and spoke with Green, who stated he was lying down on the couch in the living room when Parks, who had been drinking heavily, started yelling at him and bit his back. Green said he punched her on the left side of her face in self-defense to get her to stop biting him. Detectives interviewed Parks, and she told them that she was in her bedroom when Green came in and punched her because she was “running her mouth.” Then, Parks said after she got hit, she started fighting him and eventually bit him. Officers deemed Parks as the primary aggressor, and she was taken into custody for domestic assault.

19-Year-Old Labrya Knott tells mother to “stand on business” before pouring cat litter on her doorstep

19-year-old Labrya Knott had a domestic dispute with her mother, Bonita Ann Swafford, at Swafford’s Sennadale Lane residence on January 6th. Swafford spoke with officers, advising them that Knott had not lived there for several weeks and was coming to grab her belongings from the house. Knott arrived, refusing to answer the officer’s questions while shouting insults at Swafford, telling her “God is going to take care of you” and to “stand on business and do something.” Then, as she left, she told Swafford, “It’s okay b*tch, you will see what is going to happen.” Officers were dispatched again about an hour later. When they arrived, Swafford informed them that Knott had taken her security camera out of the base and thrown it on the ground, destroying it as she returned for her remaining items. Then, Knott told her, “That is what happens, b*tch,” and poured cat litter over her doorsteps before fleeing. Knott was taken into custody for vandalism on January 30th.

Faith Britton drives through mother’s yard in U-Haul truck

23-year-old Faith Britton had a domestic disturbance with her mother, Bonita Swafford, at Swafford’s Sennadale Lane residence on January 6th. Swafford advised officers that Britton had arrived in a U-Haul truck with her sister, Labrya Knott, and drove through her yard. Swafford said they ran over two yard lamps before fleeing. She also told officers she could only buy the lamps in a set and valued the damage at $60. Britton was taken into custody for vandalism on January 29th.

Tourist Christopher Taylor kicked out of Hustler Strip Club in Nashville

35-year-old Wisconsin tourist Christopher Taylor was kicked out of Larry Flynt’s Hustler strip club in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Monday morning for reportedly inappropriately touching a dancer. He refused to leave the property despite multiple demands from the management of the establishment. Metro Nashville Police arrived at the location, and he continued to refuse to leave the strip club. He was transported to booking and charged with criminal trespass. Taylor was married to Kelsey Jones in October of 2022.
