Clarksville Officer fired after 1000’s of sexts & explicit videos exchanged with teen on city phone

A Clarksville Field Training Officer has been fired after it was discovered he exchanged over 16,000 texts and videos, including many of a sexual nature, with a teen. Over 5,000 were exchanged while he was on-duty with a trainee who was driving him around in a patrol car. The teen initially claimed she had sex with him while he was on-duty, but later recanted her statement after it was shared widely on social media.

33-year-old Ramone Dickson was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated rape, robbery, and weapon possession charges after forcing a Clarksville man to swap oral sex acts with each other at gunpoint and then damaging his orbital socket. Clarksville police have received multiple reports of assaults via dating apps this week.

Clarksville bar loses liquor license for 6 months after violating executive orders amid pandemic

Tarboosh Hookah Bar in downtown Clarksville has agreed to a six-month suspension of its liquor license, after the TABC (TN Alcoholic Beverage Commission) filed suit, alleging violations of multiple executive orders, refusing to provide records to the TABC, failing to keep records of purchases and sales of liquor, and overall posing a risk to public safety.

Montgomery County Tennessee Mayor Jim Durrett recently told his constituents that COVID-19 was just a strain of the flu, suggesting the “-19” designation meant this was our 19th time experiencing this, and overall downplaying the impact of the virus, noting that most deaths were in nursing homes. Montgomery County has 6 confirmed Cases of Coronavirus, as of Tuesday.

55-year-old Gregory Robert Shea, who is one of the owners of the Roux in downtown Clarksville was arrested Sunday night, charged with sexual exploitation of a minor. He is free tonight on a $100,000 bond. Investigators located over 100 images and videos on an iPad inside the restaurant’s office and the owner admitted to “having a problem”.
