She is charged with DUI, and free on pre-trial release.

32-year-old Nashville corporate healthcare attorney Rachel E. Taylor blew nearly double the legal limit, a 0.151 BAC, after a crash on I-40 late Wednesday night. She reportedly told officers she was attempting to follow the directions from her GPS when a vehicle cut her off and she over-corrected, causing her to lose control and crash into a guard rail. She is free on pre-trial release.

Austin Dubois charged in death of Mitchell Copeland — Confession: “I was going fast, way too fast…”

19-year-old Austin Dubois is now charged with reckless endangerment, his actions resulting in the death of 19-year-old Mitchell Copeland in March. DuBois was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Tuesday on a warrant that alleges he told investigators “I was flying, I was going fast, way too fast, way too fucking fast” while driving a 2004 Pontiac GTO. He was traveling 60 in a 35 mph zone when he entered a curve in the roadway and lost control of the vehicle. Dubois is free on a $5,000 bond.

30-year-old Mary McDonough is charged with DUI after she crashed into a utility pole and large water storage tank which belonged to Army Surplus on Nolensville Pike. McDonough initially told officers she was “ran off the road by her ex-boyfriend who was stalking her”, and that she had urinated on herself because “police scared her when they arrived”. She is free on pre-trial release.

28-year-old Hannah Coots says she had a Corona, three beers, and a couple of shots of Bourbon before crashing her vehicle in West Nashville Sunday night. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, officers say she blew a 0.191 BAC on a breathalyzer test.

DUI: Woman “exhausted from work” took cocaine “that might have been meth” & “a lot of weed”

27-year-old Megan Hoover is charged with DUI after she crashed at I-24 & Haywood Lane Sunday. She told officers she was exhausted from work, and had smoked “a lot of weed”, taken suboxone earlier that morning, and had done what she initially believed to be cocaine, but now believes it was methamphetamine. Before falling asleep during transport she was talking to someone who wasn’t there.

Man says he smoked ‘one blunt’ before crashing car with child inside & impaling another passenger

27-year-old Brandon Duncan faces a multitude of charges after police say that during an interview from the trauma unit at Vanderbilt Hospital, he admitted to smoking “one blunt” several hours before crashing his vehicle near Bellevue, which injured his 2-year-old child on July 2nd, and caused another passenger to be impaled by a stick.

DUI: Man crashes car, hops in the passenger seat before police arrive – but a TDOT camera caught him

21-year-old Joseph McCombs drunkenly crashed his car on I-65 South Saturday morning. After the impact, a TDOT camera caught him moving from the driver’s seat and into the passenger side of the vehicle. He initially denied being the driver, however, that didn’t last long when confronted with the evidence.
