James Isaacs brawls on Broadway over tab at Rippy’s Honky Tonk

32-year-old James Isaacs was a part of a large party at Rippy’s Honky Tonk late Friday night that erupted into a brawl over the tab being paid. The entire party was asked to leave the bar by security, at which time they reportedly began to shove and assault security, one of whom was punched in the face. Isaacs, along with the other members of his party, were taken into custody and transported to booking.

London tourist Christopher Lee fights & flees from police downtown, #PreTrialRelease

19-year-old Christopher Lee, who was visiting from London, was one of the individuals involved in a fight on January 1st on Broadway in downtown Nashville. Witnesses and bouncers advised officers of the scuffle, and they located Lee, but he began to flee, ignoring their commands to stop running. Lee was actively resistant when they detained him, and he was pepper sprayed during the altercation, so he had to be medically cleared before being taken into custody for evading arrest, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

Drunken tourist Kameron King attempts to fight everyone he meets in Nashville

21-year-old Kameron King of Chunky, MS, was irate and yelling at security at The Lookout at Ole Red late Saturday night when he escalated to fighting other patrons. As he was being removed from the bar by security, he continuously shouted, ‘I’ll fuck that motherfucker up!” While en route to booking, King told police he was glad he was arrested; otherwise, he would “kill that motherfucker!” Once at booking, he attempted to fight other arrestees in the transfer room.

Canadian Daniel Ross flees from police downtown; free on pre-trial release

30-year-old Canadian Daniel Ross and his friend met with another man in a back alley in downtown Nashville, one which police say is known for heavy drug activity with tourists. Police attempted to stop all three individuals; however, Ross fled the area. Officers spoke with the other two individuals, who denied any drug transactions, while another office caught up with him a short distance away and placed him into custody. Ross initially demanded an attorney, but then continued to talk to officers, stating he gave his friend $5 but wasn’t sure what it was for.

Shane Averette found stumbling down Bank Alley drunk

36-year-old Shane Averette was found stumbling down Bank Ally in the early hours of November 12. Officers observed Averette almost fall over multiple times before nearly walking into traffic. Averette was visibly intoxicated when officers approached him, and he was not able to answer if he had any friends or family who could pick him up. He was declared a danger to himself and was taken into custody for public intoxication. He fell asleep multiple times as he was transported.

Ryan Smith charged for ignoring police and evading arrest after obstructing lane of traffic

45-year-old Ryan L Smith was parked in the middle of Rep. John Lewis Way N for a couple of minutes on November 2nd as officers approached and asked if he needed assistance. Smith advised officers he had stopped so he could program his GPS and began to berate them when they told him he could not park in the middle of a lane of travel. He told officers that they did not know how to do their jobs, that there were “better” things that they could be doing, and that they needed to “cut people a break”. Officers told Smith that they were attempting to “cut him a break” by telling him to move along but he continued to scold them, so they initiated a traffic stop for obstructing a lane of travel. Smith drove off but officers were able to keep up on foot as he approached a red light and when they told him to stop again, he looked at them and said, “No.” before driving off again. Officers caught up to Smith and were able to place him in custody for failure to comply with an order and evading arrest.

Antioch man Terelle Calles couldn’t handle Broadway’s liquor

33-year-old Terelle Calles was passed out in a stairwell near Nashville Underground in downtown Nashville early Sunday Morning. Officers helped Mr. Calles get into a car for hire, but he was kicked out when his card declined. He was stumbling, couldn’t stand up straight, and was slurring as he spoke. Officers placed Mr. Calles into custody as he was too drunk to care for himself.

UK Tourist Thomas Bockmann jailed in Nashville after bar fight

26-year-old English tourist Thomas Bockmann was arrested following an altercation at Nudie’s Honkey Tonk bar early in the morning on October 15th. After officers received the call for a fight in progress, they arrived at the scene and contacted the security at the Broadway bar. The security at Nudie’s stated that the defendant and his friend were attempting to enter the bar, but appeared too intoxicated and were denied entry. At this point, Bockmann and his friend began yelling at security before the defendant’s friend tried to push past them. Security stated that Bockmann then ran up to the altercation and struck one of the security officers in the face, initiating a fight. Due to the information provided by security and observed behavior, Bockmann was placed into custody and booked shortly after on the charge of disorderly conduct.

Riley Elizabeth Ebert bites the thigh of MNPD Officer during arrest; kicks another

22-year-old Riley Elizabeth Ebert is jailed on a $6,500 bond after biting MNPD Officer George Poulos on his leg, as her teeth ripped his pants, kicking him in his thigh, and kicking Officer Dennis Diesel twice. Officers encountered Ebert as she was standing outside a black truck that was parked in the center of Broadway in downtown Nashville. The driver, her boyfriend, stated she was extremely intoxicated and continued to jump out of the vehicle at least three times prior to police arrival. She refused to stay inside the vehicle and was eventually taken into custody. During the arrest, she was combative and assaulted both officers. 

Tourist Ryan Horgan found drunk, disorderly, and confused at Schermerhorn Symphony Center

28-year-old Ryan Horgan was found by MNPD officers and NFD outside Nashville Schermerhorn Symphony Center lying on the sidewalk on August 26th. Ryan was unable to stand on his own and the officers could not locate his friends. He also refused medical attention and could not tell police where he was staying. During the investigation, police could smell alcohol on his breath and determined he was intoxicated by his actions, so he was placed into custody for public intoxication.
