Musician Hannah Fairlight arrested after playing drunken bumper cars with her children in the vehicle

Nashville Police say 36-year-old Nashville musician Hannah Fairlight Schleuder had dinner and drinks at an East Nashville restaurant Wednesday evening with her two children, and when finished she placed them in the minivan with her and proceeded to play what can only be described as a game of drunken bumper cars in the parking lot of the location at 3917 Gallatin Pike. Officers arrived to find the front bumper of her own vehicle ripped off and lying on the payment. Hannah Fairlight had hit multiple vehicles in the parking lot, including the vehicle of one man who took the keys from her and brought them to the restaurant manager, reporting she was drunk driving in the parking lot with her two children in the vehicle.

Hannah was so intoxicated she was unable to properly provide police with the names and birthdays of her two children in the vehicle with her, ages 2 and 6. She claimed one of her children was born in the year 2025. She was charged with DUI 2nd (she has a prior Williamson County conviction from 2019), and two counts of felony child endangerment. She is free on a $32,000 bond.

Gerik Pennock charged with DUI in downtown Nashville near Justice Center / Jail Booking

Metro Nashville Police say first responders found 32-year-old Gerik Pennock passed out in the driver’s seat of his vehicle at 200 James Robertson Parkway in downtown Nashville Monday night. Nashville Fire had had him loaded into their unit for evaluation when officers arrived and found an open container of alcohol in the black Jetta, which was registered to Pennock. There was only about 1/4th of the bottle remaining. Pennock admitted to drinking prior to driving but would not state how much he had consumed. He has a prior DUI conviction in Michigan.

Man says he used cocaine & opioids prior to crash — Mitchell Baxter

32-year-old Michell Baxter told paramedics he used cocaine and opioids prior to a crash on December 23rd. Baxter was initially found unresponsive in the driver’s seat of his crashed truck, unresponsive with fixed pinpoint pupils and a slight pulse. Narcan was administered and he eventually became responsive as he was being transferred onto the gurney. He stated he remembered nothing about the wreck, and refused to answer any questions after being read his rights. Baxter was charged with DUI 2nd and violation of the implied consent law. Baxter also received a citation charging him with DUI 2nd in October, for which he has not yet been to court. He remains jailed in lieu of a $2,500 bond.

36-year-old Frank ‘Frankie’ Messinger Jr. was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail over the holiday weekend after he was doing 70 mph in a 55 mph zone on I-40 while passing a state trooper. After he was pulled over he admitted to drinking ‘several beers’ prior to driving, and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He was previously convicted of DUI in 2016, so he was charged with DUI 2nd and transported to booking. He is free on pre-trial release.

DUI: Man charged with DUI-2nd Offense after crash on Broadway in downtown Nashville — Blake Aaron

27-year-old Blake Aaron is free on pre-trial release after being charged with DUI – 2nd Offense after crashing his Nissan Sentra into another vehicle at 612 Broadway in downtown Nashville. He admitted drinking prior to the crash, and to a prior DUI in the state of Kentucky. He was unable to complete standard field sobriety tests, however, a blood draw was completed at General Hospital before he was transported to booking.

Woman charged with DUI-2nd after found unconscious behind the wheel in West Nashville — Leann Bernard

41-year-old State of Tennessee employee Leann ‘Lee-Lea’ Bernard was found unconscious behind the wheel of her vehicle in West Nashville, and medics alerted police when they revived her and she was stumbling around with no obvious medical reason. She eventually admitted to officers she had been drinking, and they located two empty beer cans and one nearly empty bottle of vodka in the vehicle. Bernard pleaded guilty to a prior DUI in July of 2019. She was given pre-trial release on the new charge. Bernard is a software developer under the Department of Finance, according to state records.

DUI: Sophie Swaney arrested with gun, drugs; boyfriend falls out of vehicle, upset over photoshoot

26-year-old outdoor brand influencer Sophie Swaney, who has over a million followers across various platforms, was arrested Saturday in Nashville after police say she was driving under the influence while in possession of a handgun and drugs. Her boyfriend, who was upset over a photoshoot, climbed out the passenger window while traveling on Charlotte Ave. and fell on his head, causing him to land in the trauma unit with a brain injury.
