FedEx driver Christopher Burt charged after reportedly threatening to beat up a man

Samuel Hill says 55-year-old FedEx driver Christopher Burt blocked part of the road on Old Hickory Blvd in February, causing him to become upset. The two got into an argument over the parking location, and Samuel says he was in fear of being assaulted when Burt reportedly threatened to “beat him up.” Police arrived and issued Burt a citation, charging him with assault/fear of bodily injury. He was booked this week.

FedEx Employee Franklin Martin drunkenly drives trailer tugger on his off day

23-year-old “tugger certified” employee Franklin Martin was on the FedEx property outside of his working hours Sunday evening. Officers were called when he would not leave, and though he was slightly intoxicated, he was cooperative and was given a courtesy ride away from the property at 5 p.m. with a warning not to return unless he was scheduled to work. At 9 p.m. Sunday, he returned to the FedEx property, even more intoxicated, and the office initially refused him entrance. He then snuck onto the truck lot and located a ‘trailer tugger,’ which he drove from the truck lot to the parking lot.

Package Thief Jessy Douglas – Sentenced to Time Served – Released From Custody

Jessica Douglas, the now locally famous ‘East Nashville Package Thief’ appeared in court today in front of Judge Melissa Blackburn. She plead guilty to ‘Theft, $1,000 or less’, and was sentenced to ‘Time Served’ which equated to 6 days in jail. Douglas will also have to pay $686.00 in court costs and $150 in restitution. As of 2PM, Douglas’ custody status was updated to indicate she was in the process of being released from custody, and should be free sometime this afternoon. Package Thief Jessy Douglas – Prior Theft Conviction at Macy’s of Cool Springs

Jessica Douglas, who spent her 30th birthday in jail on Sunday, had a prior conviction locally at Cool Springs Mall in May of 2014. She committed a theft (under $500) from the Macy’s at Cool Springs Galleria, for which she signed a ‘conditional’ guilty plea in August of 2014. Conditions of her conditional guilty plea included 11mo 29day supervised probation, 24 hours of community service, random and regular drug screens, and an order to not trespass onto Macy’s or Cool Springs Galleria property.
