Metro Nashville Police responded to Losers Bar & Grill on Division Street early Sunday morning after security reported that 22-year-old Randy Gonzales refused to leave at closing time. Bouncer Brandon Chapman stated Gonzales began arguing with him, which escalated to the man charging at him with his body and attempting to strike him. Several other patrons and staff witnessed the incident and Chapman prosecuted Gonzalez for the assault.

46-year-old Mortgage Loan Originator Angela York was jailed Thursday after her ex-boyfriend, Raburn Davis, Jr., says she appeared at his home uninvited and became disorderly when he demanded her to leave the property. He says she scratched his car and attempted to shatter the glass storm door of his house. In a detailed affidavit and application for an order of protection, Davis says his ex-lover claims to practice “black magic” and has told him she “owns him” and that she wasn’t afraid of the police. He claims she attempted to poison him while in Florida and has threatened to “cut him up and put him in a bag”. When contacted about the charge, Angela York stated Davis has “lost his mind” and denies all allegations.

Luke Bryan’s Bar bouncers pin an “unruly” man to the ground for several minutes — Shane Anthony Peters arrested

Metro Nashville Police received a call on Thursday mid-day, reporting that staff of Luke Bryan’s Bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville had a man pinned to the ground and needed assistance. Officers arrived to find 40-year-old Shane Peters still being held to the ground. Security staff stated he was being unruly and was asked to leave but refused to do so. When he became combative, he was taken to the ground to await the arrival of the police. Peters told police he had been drinking during the day and didn’t like how staff approached him. He was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Joshua Lilley charged with vandalism of his bother’s car from 2020

23-year-old Joshua Lilley was booked into the Metro Nashville jail on a nearly two-year-old warrant, charging him with vandalism. The event, which occurred in May of 2020, alleges got angry with his brother and attempted to fight him, but settled for damaging the back door of his vehicle as he fled the scene of the disturbance. Officers documented several dents and scratches in the car of this brother, Zachary Lilley.

Nashville Nurse Catherine Sowell begs to not be charged in DUI crash because she “saves lives as a nurse”

MNPD Officer Lucas Thomas says Registered Nurse Catherine Sowell begged to not be charged with a crime after she crashed into a semi-truck and then a retaining wall Saturday afternoon because she was “saving lives as a nurse” and she could lose that job if she were to be arrested for her own DUI crash. He explained to her that she could be the one harming someone by drinking and driving — to which she stated “I hope you don’t have any family in the medical field” and “I would feel more remorseful if he was hurt but I literally hugged the other driver”. She continued to lie about how many drinks she had and where she came from, changing her story each time she was asked.

Franklin Dee Settle charged in strangulation of ex-girlfriend at Green Hills Grille during dinner

Jalil Huddleston says she went to dinner with her ex-boyfriend, 44-year-old Franklin Dee Settle, at the Green Hills Grille Saturday. During the dinner, the pair engaged in a verbal altercation and she took possession of his phone. In an attempt to retrieve his phone he grabbed her by the hair and brought her to the ground in the middle of the restaurant. Multiple witnesses reported he appeared to be strangling her during the altercation.

Man charged with defrauding family out of $29K in home construction project — Charlie Jackson

67-year-old Charlie Jackson, the owner of ‘C Jackson Construction’ is free on a $10,000 bond after police say he defrauded a customer out of $29,276. An arrest warrant details during a residential construction project, Jackson received $84,218, however they realized that he had invoiced $14,000 for work he did not actually do. When confronted, he said he no longer had any of the money and then stopped showing up on the project. The customers had to pay someone else to complete the project and were at a total loss of just over $29K. Jackson is charged with felony theft

DUI: Man flees after crash, tells police he’s “a lightweight when it comes to drinking”— Michael Simonetti

31-year-old Michael Simonetti, who described himself to police as “a lightweight when it comes to drinking” called to report he had been in a crash just over 90 minutes earlier. Police met him just down the street, where they discovered a puddle and trail of fresh alcohol, which he had poured out the window of his vehicle. He says he left the scene because he believed the other vehicle also left. Inside the car, police found 6 empty Captain Morgan bottles, and a glass with ice and liquor inside, along with other random alcohol cans.

He failed field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI, violation of implied consent law, and leaving the scene of an accident.

Intoxicated man jumps into stranger’s car downtown, gets tased twice — Baldemar Rivera

21-year-old Baldemar Rivera faces multiple charges after a wild scene in downtown Nashville late Friday night. Police initially responded to what they believed to be an attempted carjacking. The victims stated a young male jumped into the passenger side of her vehicle. Believing she was about to be carjacked, she fled the vehicle and took the keys with her. A male from the vehicle then tased the young man, identified as Rivera, to extract him from the vehicle. Rivera then came back toward the male in an aggressive manner and was tased a second time, causing him to flee the scene. He was spotted nearby and taken into custody. During the incident, a 3rd victim came forward stating Rivera had kicked a dent in his vehicle. Rivera was charged with public intoxication, vandalism, and assault. He is free on a $5,000 bond.

Woman accused of assaulting ex-husband’s new lover during “fit of jealous rage” — Erin Bradley

50-year-old Harpeth Montessori teacher Erin Bradley is charged with the assault of the new lover of her ex-husband. An arrest affidavit alleges she ” without provocation from the victim, got out of her car and charged at the victim scratching and bruising victim’s arm. This was done in a fit of jealous rage on the defendant’s part.” She is free on pre-trial release.
