Joshua Johnson caught with cocaine, tells police it helps “clear his nose.”

31-year-old Joshua Johnson was found inside a silver Ford SUV at 3rd Avenue South on March 9th. Officers observed the driver of the SUV crushing up a white powdery substance, so both he and Johnson were told to exit the vehicle. Officers conducted a probable cause search of the car and located a brown wooden box containing 10.8 grams of cocaine. Once Johnson was Mirandized, he admitted to owning the box but denied that there was any powder inside. While officers were further investigating, Johnson stated that the powder was “crushed ibuprofen” that he uses to help “clear his nose.” Multiple other drug instruments were located inside the brown wooden box, including a pipe and a digital scale. Joshua Johnson was charged with possession with intent and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and taken into custody on March 10th.

44-year-old Joshua Johnson was involved in a car crash at Interstate-24 on March 9th. Johnson begged the driver who called in the crash not to involve law enforcement. The driver stated that he smelt alcohol on Johnson, who was fidgety and nervous. Officers made contact and also noticed a strong odor of alcohol as they approached Johnson, who said that he had nothing to drink. However, later, Johnson said he had one beer around an hour before the crash. Johnson consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Joshua Johnson was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.

Joshua Johnson was not a winner at Losers Bar in downtown Nashville

32-year-old Joshua Johnson was jailed on Wednesday morning after attempting to fight security guards at Losers bar on 4th Avenue South in downtown Nashville. When officers arrived, security told police that Johnson was asked to leave several times, but he refused and tried to fight them as they escorted him off the property. At this time, security detained Johnson, noting he smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech, and had red, watery eyes. Due to the safety of others, Johnson was taken into custody.
