Luke Farley speeds 84 mph on Murfreesboro Pike

24-Year-Old Luke Farley was seen recklessly driving on Mufresboro Pike on March 27th. Officers observed Farley going 84mph in a 50mph zone. He did not have any insurance and told officers the reason for his speeding was that he saw another vehicle coming into his lane, so he sped up in order to pass them. Officers cited him for the violation, and he was booked on the citation for reckless driving.

Janique Simpson throws water bottle at brother during altercation

19-year-old Janique Alicia Simpson and her boyfriend, 20-year-old Richard Pearson, had a domestic altercation with her brother, Jaheim Simpson, at Bell Road on December 18th. They advised officers that Jaheim and Janique always bicker, and today, she threw a key at him and missed, prompting him to throw a water bottle at her. She then called for Pearson, and he ran into the kitchen. Jaheim ran behind him while holding a knife in his left hand, causing Pearson to grab him to prevent himself from being stabbed. Jaheim then grabbed a glass cup that ended up shattering, creating shards that he ended up grabbing to try to stab Richard with. Janique and Richard tried to grab the shard away from Jaheim and cut their hands.

Officers spoke with Jaheim, who stated he was cooking when his sister began bickering with him. She opened the refrigerator, hitting him, causing him to bump the door back at her. She left the kitchen, returned with a water bottle, and threw it at him, so he grabbed it and threw it back. She then charged at him to attack, so he grabbed ahold of her in self-defense. Then, her boyfriend, Pearson, ran into the kitchen and grabbed him from behind, pinning him against the counter and ripping two of his dreads out. Then, Richard grabbed a glass cup and tried to hit him in the face with it, and it ended up shattering, turning into shards that Richard tried to stab him with. Jaheim attempted to hold the shard to prevent it from stabbing him, but it cut his hand. He stated Richard threw him to the floor and ended up cutting his left ankle and chin. Officers observed the lacerations Jaheim sustained, lining up with his statements, and deemed Richard and Janique as the primary aggressors. They were taken into custody for aggravated assault.

Georgette Gates prevents ex-boyfriend from retrieving his drum set

52-year-old Georgette Gates was involved in a domestic disturbance with her ex-boyfriend, Thomas Earl Gilleylen, at Bell Trace Dr. on November 8. Gilleylen spoke with officers as they arrived and advised them that he was moving out and trying to retrieve some of his belongings, especially his drums, which he provided a receipt for. Gates told officers that Gilleylen did not have a drum set in the garage and refused to let them check the garage to confirm. Gilleylen provided text messages from Gates stating, “I got your base guitar too all of it is as good as gone that’s what you get for thinking you was going to fuck over me.” Gates provided camera footage showing Gilleylen grabbing some bags but none that a drum set could fit inside of. Officers determined that Gates was depriving Gilleylen of his drum set, so they placed her into custody for theft of property.

Brenda Ruiz Solorzano attacks husband with flower vases

46-year-old Brenda Ruiz Solorzano was jailed last week for trying to hit her husband with a vase after an argument at their home on Kinwood Drive. Police responded and spoke with Fermin Martinez, who said he and his wife were arguing about their child being disrespectful when Brenda threw a drink on the ground in a fit of rage. Martinez went outside and told the child to grab food from the store while he continued mowing the lawn. Brenda came outside, stood in front of the lawnmower, and started yelling at him. Martinez told his wife he would not argue with her outside and grabbed her arm to guide her inside. When they got to the porch, she picked up a flower vase to try and hit him. Once they got inside the house, they continued to argue, and Brenda grabbed another vase and threw it at Martinez, but he said it didn’t hit him.

He had two small fresh scratches on his face, but he claims he doesn’t know where they came from. Brenda denies anything physical took place and that there was only an argument. Brenda told police that the front screen door knocked over the vase, and she slammed her hand down on the table, causing the other vase to fall over. She claims her husband never grabbed her to bring her inside, but with the evidence of the destroyed vases and the injuries to Martinez, she was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Zykia Eubanks charged with domestic assault of brother

20-year-old Zykia Eubanks was jailed on March 24th after fighting with her brother when an argument turned violent outside of their home on Hollow Terrace. Davin Denson told police that the argument was about him putting his friend’s clothes outside. When he went back into the house, Eubanks followed behind, shoved him, and the two began to wrestle. When police questioned Eubanks, she said that she and her brother got into an argument and she shoved him before they started to “tussle.” She was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody, charged with domestic assault.

Andrew Rainey charged with disorderly conduct after childish temper tantrum

18-year-old Andrew Rainey was jailed early Sunday morning after becoming aggressive with police when he was told to leave someone’s property on Hampton Court. Lee’a Garnett told Rainey that he could only come back to her house to grab all of his belongings at once and wasn’t to return. He told Lee’a that he had a truck to get all of his things, but when he got there, he was on foot and ended up throwing things into the yard and cursing her out. Lee’a said this behavior went on for hours. When police arrived, they told Rainey to grab his things and leave the property, and that’s when he became aggressive and slammed a box on the ground in Infront of onlookers. He was taken to booking.

Kirk Neal charged after putting a cigarette out on his boyfriend’s head during breakup assault

26-year-old Kirk Neal is charged with domestic assault after his boyfriend, Lance Perlas, says Neal put a cigarette out on his head when he told him he wanted to end their relationship. He says Neal became extremely upset and physically aggressive and spit in his face and punched him. Neal then reportedly knocked him to the ground and climbed on top of him, and put out a lit cigarette on the back of the victim’s head while continuing to punch him. The victim’s brother, Charles Fine, was able to pull Neal off him, and his mother, Betty Fine, confirmed the events to the police. Officers documented injuries to the victim’s face, head, and knees.
