DUI: Gary Henson was “hostile and belligerent” during arrest with handgun and drugs

19-year-old Gary Henson was involved in a single-vehicle rollover on the interstate late Friday night. First responders report smelling alcohol on Henson as they interacted with him and noted his slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. Henson was “belligerent and extremely uncooperative” with police. He admitted to smoking marijuana and drinking “one beer” just before the accident. Inside the vehicle, officers found a half-consumed bottle of Crown Royal and a baggie of marijuana. Field sobriety tests could not be completed due to his hostility. Henson was transported to booking and charged with the marijuana, possession of a firearm that was found in the vehicle, and driving under the influence.

April Hampton — texting while driving leads to arrest for cocaine, handgun, and marjiuana

33-year-old April Hampton was pulled over by a THP Trooper on I-24 after he said he observed her texting while driving. It was determined her driver’s license was revoked for failure to pay court fees, and the officer noted the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. She claimed she had smoked earlier, but nothing was currently in the vehicle. A search was conducted and resulted in the seizure of a handgun, a small amount of cocaine (0.5 grams) packaged to sell, 32 grams of marijuana, and a scale.

Tivie Greer sells cops fake cocaine on Broadway, brings actual drugs into jail with him

Undercover detectives working the downtown district Friday night approached 31-year-old Tivie Greer and asked to buy some cocaine from him. They agreed on $100, and the transaction occurred at 329 Broadway (Honky Tonk Central). Detectives moved in and took Greer into custody. The white powder he sold police was not actually cocaine or any known drug. Greer was transported to booking and left three small rocks in the patrol car as he exited. These were the actual cocaine and tested positive, along with two additional baggies and some marijuana that was found as he was being processed. Greer is charged with selling counterfeit drugs, possessing actual drugs, and bringing drugs into jail.

Graham Hendrix jumps out of moving vehicle, says he was drunk and high

Metro Nashville Police say 28-year-old Graham Hendrix jumped out of a moving vehicle early Tuesday morning. Officers arrived at the scene to find him stumbling and reeking of alcohol. He admitted he was both drunk and high on marijuana. Due to him obviously being a danger to himself, Hendrix was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Maya Tolliver drove to Vanderbilt, parked on sidewalk, picked her own hospital room to rest in

Police say 32-year-old Maya Tolliver drove to Vanderbilt Hospital and parked her car on the sidewalk outside of the hospital. She then walked inside, took an elevator to the 5th floor, where she located a vacant patient room, and made herself at home. Nurses located Tolliver and contacted police. Officers say she reeked of alcohol and marijuana and was unaware of her current surroundings. She was verbally aggressive in response to questions. An officer asked if she would like to seek medical treatment via the ED since she was already at Vanderbilt, to which she replied: “you can go seek help!” She was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Elder Eli Milla-Rodriguez admits to reselling marijuana & edibles during traffic stop

Police conducted a traffic stop on 18-year-old Elder Eli Milla-Rodriguez just after noon on Monday when he failed to stop fully at an Antioch stop sign. More interestingly to the officer watching was that he stopped at a driveway just before the stop sign, where a female was standing at the end of the driveway, to whom he sold marijuana through the passenger side window. As the traffic stop was conducted, the officer reportedly smelled marijuana, and Elder advised he had a firearm in the vehicle when told a search would be conducted. Officers found 30.4 grams of marijuana, a Glock 22 with a drum-style magazine. Elder told police he routinely buys marijuana and edibles by the ounce and resells them, and carries the firearm for protection.

MNPD interrupts William Jackson having sex in his car to search it, finds 1 gram weed & gun

22-year-old William Jackson was booked this week on two outstanding warrants from 2020, charging him with possession of marijuana and a handgun after Officer Sara Lober caught him with his pants down and engaged in sex with a woman in a car in a North Nashville apartment complex parking lot. Officer Lober interrupted the festivities and searched his vehicle, locating a .45 Taurus Judge and 1 gram of marijuana. She issued him citations on each charge, and he never showed up for booking.

Bobbie Larkin stored drugs in backpack of 7-year-old son; charged under Haley’s Law

35-year-old Bobbie Larkin told her 7-year-old son to grab his backpack as they exited the vehicle during a traffic stop after police had observed her conducting a drug deal just moments before. Inside the child’s backpack, detectives located 4.6 grams of cocaine, Oxycodone pills, and ammunition for the handgun that was stored in the glove box. During the traffic stop, Larkin also gave police consent to search her home, which was 2 miles away. Detectives froze the home, and she was brought to her residence to sign the consent form. A search of the home resulted in the seizure of nearly one pound of marijuana, digital scales, Xanax pills, 2 grams of cocaine, and multiple firearms. Larkins is being prosecuted under “Haley’s Law,” which could result in a 15-25 year sentence to serve just on the child abuse charge.

18-year-old Desiree Ivey is free on pre-trial release after Metro Nashville Police stopped a vehicle she was in with Austin Watts, which was observed by undercover detectives at it was involved in a drug transaction at a West Nashville Thornton’s. Though Austin claimed his one-ounce baggie of marijuana from the vehicle, a search of the Tahoe revealed 14 Xanax bars in a blue purse located in Ivey’s seat, along with $140 in cash. She claimed the purse and drugs belonged to her Aunt.

Metro Nashville Police were conducting surveillance at the Thorntons on Charlotta Pike when they observed a hand-to-hand transaction between people in two vehicles. They approached the driver of one of the vehicles, 21-year-old Austin Watts, and briefly spoke with him while his passenger, Desiree Ivey, also spoke to officers and admitted to marijuana being in the vehicle after officers claimed to smell it. She produced a 1-ounce bag of marijuana Watts later admitted the marijuana was his and was taken into custody and charged with simple possession of marijuana.
