Don’t open the app on your phone, allow your kids to have the trading cards, or even talk about Pokemon go while at NES! All these related activities are supposedly ‘PROHIBITED’! **UPDATE BELOW, in a response NES states they “had customers entering the lobby appearing to be taking pictures of employees as a “Jewell” for the game” – showing just how out of touch they are with something they created a policy against. Nashville Fire: Tim Lankford Suspended Without Pay, Must Attend Diversity Training | NFD Firemen Stripping at Red Lights Still OK!

In light of a story we originally investigated and brought to light, regarding Nashville Fire Department’s EMS District Chief Tim Lankford, and his social media blunders – he has been suspended, without pay, for 10 days, and must attend diversity awareness training. Lankford recently claimed that the comments were ‘because of the death of this wife, though that was proven to not be true. It’s worth nothing, that NFD Public Information Officer, Brian Haas, has still declined to provide ENN any information on the matter, despite multiple open records requests…

And he’s taken his solution to the interwebs, to try to get the attention of Mayor Megan Barry. According to Shane, “We need Mayor Megan Barry and Governor…

On the morning of July 13th, Tim Lankford was called into a disciplinary hearing by his employer, the Nashville Fire Department, of which Fire Commander Tim Anderson, Assistant Chief Walter Demonbreun, Jr. and Assistant Chief Lenny Manning were all present. Nashville Fire Chief Holt’s Letter to Tim Lankford – Notice of Disciplinary Charges

Shortly after we exposed the hateful and intimidating posts by Nashville Fire EMS District Chief Tim Lankford, he took several weeks of ‘sick leave’ that he had built up – so he was not presented with the 64 page letter below, and the accompanying charges from the Civil Service Commission, until very recently. He had an initial informal meeting with the NFD upper management on July 13th 2016, and the department has 10 calendar days to notify him of if it’s disciplinary decision – which will be July 23rd, so…

Nashville Firefighter Tim Lankford Pulled From Field & on Administrative Duty While Investigation Continues

Via WKRN & The Tennessean,  Nashville Firefighter Tim Lankford has been pulled from the field and placed on administrative duty, reports Deputy Chief Steve Holt. Lankford has been an EMS District Chief since 1987. The letter states that the posts were perceived as “racial, stereotypical, and threatening toward members of the public.” This all stems from social media posts that we first reported in May. You may remember some of his posts that reflected badly on transgender rights, on Muslims, evolution, even threatening bodily harm in some instances, such as a…

Nashville Fire Department: Employees & Salaries

We’ve had a few inquiries to publish a list of the MNFD Employees, since they seem to be commenting to news articles and behaving badly on social media – and since all of that information is 100% available via public open data resources – so that you can see if the person that’s showing out in the comments sections of your favorite news sections is a MNFD employee, or not – and also how much they’re being paid by the city of Nashville to hold that position – and to…

Nashville Fire EMT Laura Huffstuttler: Issues Vague Threat to EastNashville.news & Can “Go to HELL”

Since NewsChannnel5 and Out & About picked up our story this week, we’ve received many messages from Nashville Fire Department employees – most saying how glad they are that this attitude is now out in the open, and is being addressed. However, we have received quite a few from employees that supported Tim Lakford’s words, and felt they should let us know – and since they continue to buck the system and defy the social media policy that they were just reminded us days ago, we felt we should give…

UPDATE: See recent updates on the Tim Lankford Social Media Nightmare… and more local media coverage here. In our 5th installment, Nashville Fire Department District EMS Chief, Tim Lankford, doesn’t even attempt to hide his views of the LGBT Community – including those that serve under him in the Nashville Fire Department in various roles. Since our first post on him last week he has since removed his job title from his Facebook account, but his hateful posts remain. According to publicly available records, Tim Lankford is employed by the…

Nashville Fire Department: VIDEO! Stop the Engine! Stripping for a Drag Queen while on Duty!

Oh, Nashville Fire Department, you have yet to cease to amaze us. This time, instead of the hateful closed-minded ideals of some of the higher ups, we have some of the rank-and-file having a lot of fun – caught on camera, once again, the polar opposite of some of the attitudes we’ve found on display in our previous looks at the Nashville Fire Department. We have to ask – did the Nashville Fire Department allow it’s firefighters to appear, ON DUTY, in a web show? We’re guessing the answer is…
