Lyndsay Kancher charged with downtown DUI — You need to calm down

39-year-old Lyndsay Kancher was driving her Kia Optima on 2nd Ave in downtown Nashville just after 1 a.m. Saturday when she turned and drove onto a road that was blocked by barricades and Metro Nashville Police Officers. She ran onto a curb and came to a stop. Officers say she smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech. She admitted to consuming two beers prior to driving and taking Adderall. She also volunteered that she takes pain medicines but had not in a few days. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for DUI. Kancher has a prior DUI conviction in California in 2014.

Austin Parker Suedekum charged with DUI & drug possession in Nashville

25-year-old Austin Parker Suedekum drove into a sobriety checkpoint after buying marijuana and drinking alcohol. He failed field sobriety tests and though he initially agreed to a blood draw, once his father arrived at the scene he revoked that consent. A night court judge signed a warrant for the blood draw. He is charged with DUI & drug possession.
