Tourist Adam Perkins punches cop twice, free on pre-trial release

33-year-old North Carolina tourist Adam Perkins caught the attention of Metro Nashville Police after he was observed walking in traffic at 5th & Broadway late Saturday night. As officers approached to check on his welfare, it was immediately apparent he was extremely intoxicated. Officers attempted to guide him out of the road and back to the sideway, but Perkins refused. He began to yell and scream at officers and punched Sgt. EricPetlewski in the chest twice, while screaming “take me to jail!” As officers were taking Perkins into custody, he pulled away from officers and kicked at the windows inside the patrol car until he was placed into hobble restraints for transport.

Lauren Roberts jailed after assault of husband at Opryland Hotel in Nashville

36-year-old Lauren Roberts from North Carolina is charged with the domestic assault of her husband at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel after she grabbed him by the neck and scratched him as he attempted to catch her amid a drunken stumbling fall. She screamed out, “I don’t need your help!” Responding officers noticed the victim, Zachary Roberts, to be bleeding and have injuries to his neck. The two were drinking near the Cascades and had taken the elevator to the wrong floor in the search for their hotel room. Lauren refused to make any statements to officers and was determined to be the primary aggressor.

MNPD Officer placed “in fear of assault” when Jonathan James puts arms on him on Broadway

Metro Nashville Police Officer Connor Hosey says he was assisting a citizen with taking a photograph just after 2 a.m. on Broadway in downtown Nashville Saturday when 24-year-old Jonathan Pierre James came up and placed his arms around the neck of Hosey. While observers say it looked like horseplay, the Metro Nashville Police officer says he felt in fear of bodily injury and had Officer Caulder place the North Carolina tourist under arrest for assault.

Matt Slater refuses to leave airport when deemed too drunk to fly American Airlines — BNA

Nashville Airport Police responded to American Airlines C15 Gate area Sunday after 35-year-old Matthew Slater was denied boarding due to his extreme level of intoxication. Officers attempted to explain he would simply be rebooked for the following morning and escort him outside of the secure area of the airport so he could arrange for somewhere to stay for the evening. Slater became increasingly upset he would not make his scheduled flight and refused to leave the secured area of the airport. He was eventually taken into custody and charged with public intoxication. Slater later posted on social media to his friends: “After SEVERAL delays, Massive problems and a night in an airport, finally making it to Chicago”.

North Carolina tourist Brandon Juhaish drunk dives into bed of police pickup truck during CMA Fest

Metro Nashville Police working Entertainment District for the CMA Fest crowd in downtown Nashville Thursday night observed 39-year-old Brandon Juhaish stumbling down the sidewalk near 5th & Broadway when he fell to the ground. He was assisted back to his feet by another citizen before falling back down and rolling around on the sidewalk. Juhaish then made his way back to his feet before running and diving into the bed of a marked MNPD pickup truck.

Tourist Danielle Jones charged after calling family member a “Fat B-tch” & assaulting her

32-year-old Danielle Jones was jailed on her trip to Nashville this weekend, as she was charged with domestic assault after police say she called Kaityln Jones a “Fat Bit-h” and slammed her to the ground, resulting in a scrape to her shin. Danielle admitted to the assault, but denied the assault caused the injury.

Tourist can’t pay the tab after friends leave him at downtown Nashville bar — Brandon Willard

27-year-old Brandon Willard, of North Carolina, was unable to pay his $496.00 tab at a downtown Nashville bar. The bartender says he continued to order drinks for himself and his friends on his tab, and then his friends left the bar. At closing time, he attempted to leave the bar without paying and stated he had no way to pay for the final tab when questioned by police. He was issued a citation for theft of services and was booked on that citation this week.

DUI: Man found asleep behind the wheel of a running car with a blanket over his head — Travis Turner

45-year-old Travis Shane Turner, from North Carolina, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Thursday just after 7 a.m. when police found him slumped over the wheel of his running vehicle in a lane of travel with a blanket over his head. He reportedly had slurred speech and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. Turner refused a breathalyzer and is free on pre-trial release.

Man charged with public intox & resisting arrest on Vanderbilt Campus — Severin Dean Shultis

Vanderbilt University Police received a call regarding a person at the entrance of Medical Center East who was yelling and tossing items off a desk at the hospital entrance. 24-year-old Severin Shultis was located a short time later on campus and was identified as the person responsible for causing the scene. Police say he was extremely intoxicated and attempted to run around the officer who was placing him under arrest. He is charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest. Shultis is free on pre-trial release.

Tourist defecates on himself in downtown bar, says security is “trying to kill me” — Hunter Brooke Macfarlane

38-year-old Hunter Brooke Macfarlane, a tourist from North Carolina, was found on the floor of Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa on Broadway in downtown Nashville with his pants around his ankles, having defecated on himself while screaming: “They [security guards] are trying to kill me!” Security flagged down officers after the man refused to leave, and he was transported to booking, where he was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He is free on pre-trial release.
