70-year-old Leonard Johnson strikes man with vehicle, confesses he “made a bad choice”

70-year-old Leonard Johnson is free on pre-trial release after police say he purposefully drove into a pedestrian near the side of the roadway on 28th Ave N. just after 8 a.m. Thursday. The victim, Michael Cheatham, states he was standing on the side of the road when Johnson drove up to him and demanded he move, immediately. When Cheatham pointed out there was no traffic in either lane, and nothing blocking him from continuing on his way, Johnson drove into him, striking him with the vehicle before fleeing the scene. After police caught up with him, he admitted to running over the man and stated he “made a bad choice and should not have done this”

Stephanie Gilyard & Tashauna Wallace arrested after lovers’ quarrel that left Tupperware torn

39-year-old Stephanie Gilyard & her 31-year-old girlfriend Tashauna Patrice Wallace were both booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Tuesday after a brawl. Tashauna broke a Tupperware container and a picture, while Stephanie broke Tashauna’s face with her fists. Both have $1,000 bond, one of which has been posted.

Man attempts to fight officers and medic at Parthenon Towers

59-year-old Donald Bennett was charged with public intoxication, assault of a health care provider and disorderly conduct after being observed in a brawl outside the Parthenon Towers Apartments. Bennett later kicked a Nashville Fire Department medic upon examination, per report.
