22-year-old Jordan Woods was booked into the Metro Nasvhille Jail just before daylight Sunday, after officers found him asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle that was parked in the middle of an intersection with his engine and lights off, with the keys out of the ignition. As officers observed cars maneuver around him they knocked on the window and eventually woke him from his slumber. He claimed to be “waiting on a text message” to tell him where to go. It was unclear how long he had been asleep at the intersection. Woods performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI and for a bag of marijuana found inside his jacket pocket. He is free on pre-trial release and listed a TSU campus dorm as his bond-out address.
