Matthew Cantrell charged with distributing 40 grams of marijuana

38-year-old Matthew Cantrell was in the back seat of a blue Chevrolet Trailblazer that MNPD Sergeant Craig Amabile pulled over at a McDonald’s on August 30th. The police noticed Matthew moving around in the back seat and backpacks on the floor close to him. Once Sergeant Amabile placed the vehicle’s driver into custody for driving while intoxicated, he searched the vehicle and found approximately 40 grams of marijuana between four bags. One of the backpacks containing marijuana in multiple small bags was sitting next to Matthew. No paraphernalia was reported to be found, so police determined, based on the packaging and the amount, that there was an intent to sell the drug.

Mohamed Ahmadi says his 40-year-old wife, Catherine Pirro, came home at 1:30 a.m. on January 25, poured containers of juice all over their kitchen, and then stripped naked. She then began to yell, scream, and slap her husband in the face. She then picked up their eight-month-old child, and when her husband attempted to take the child, Catherine bit his finger. Officers arrived and took her into custody for domestic assault with bodily injury.

Kevin Morris charged in assault of boyfriend, Joel Baker, after a house party

40-year-old Kevin Morris was charged with domestic assault on December 27th after he reportedly assaulted his ex-boyfriend, Joel Baker. Morris showed up at Baker’s apartment and grabbed him by the shirt, pulled him upward, and assaulted him. Officers say documented fresh scratches on the victim’s face, chest, and arms, along with a torn shirt. Kevin was intercepted by police as he was leaving the scene and taken into custody without incident.

24-year-old Malcolm Watson is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after police say he struck his ex-boyfriend in the head with a rock, leaving a laceration, and then chased him into a vehicle, where he was trying to retreat, and punched him in the face and bit his bicep. Watson claims he was only punching back from an earlier assault, and that he was the actual victim.
