DUI: Luke Wooldridge blows .172% BAC after speeding down I-65 North

23-year-old Luke Wooldridge was speeding in his gray SUV on I-65 North near mile marker 91.0 around 4:03 a.m. on April 7th. Officers observed him going 83 mph and initiated a traffic stop, where he was initially slow to stop but pulled over near mile marker 92.2. When officers approached the driver’s side, they noticed Wooldridge had glossy eyes and reeked of alcohol. Wooldridge admitted to drinking before driving, stating he should not be driving. He made multiple statements regarding his mistake of drinking and driving. Wooldridge consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and agreed to provide a breath sample, resulting in .172 BAC%. Wooldridge was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

DUI: Abebaw Tesfaye hits multiple police cars on Old Hickory Boulevard

51-year-old Abebaw Melaku Tesfaye was involved in a three-vehicle collision near Old Hickory Boulevard and Myatt Drive in the early hours of March 30th. When officers arrived, they observed Tesfaye operating an Amazon delivery semi-truck. Then they spoke with him, and Tesfaye stated he failed to see the red stop light while traveling westbound on Old Hickory Boulevard. Tesfaye stated this caused him to hit a marked patrol car, which then rear-ended an additional patrol car. Officers on the scene noted that Tesfaye stumbled out of the truck and was slow to provide his license. He told them he had not slept for 10 hours before the accident. Tesfaye stated he had not consumed any alcohol, consented to sobriety tests, and performed poorly. Tesfaye agreed to provide a blood sample after being informed of implied consent. Tesfaye was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

DUI: Country Music Singer Dylan Wolfe crashes car on I-24 West, tells police he “looked down at his phone”

29-year-old Country Music Singer Dylan Wolfe had a single-vehicle accident on I-24 West in the early hours of February 29th. Wolfe spoke with officers when they arrived and told them that he “looked down at his phone,” causing the wreck. Then, Wolfe admitted to having three mixed drinks with Crown Royal Apple before driving. Wolfe consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly before refusing to provide a blood sample. During a subsequent search of his vehicle, Officers located a firearm in his center console. Wolfe was taken into custody for driving under the influence, implied consent, and weapon possession while under the influence.

Stacey Cross booked on DUI citation from September

40-year-old Stacey Cross had a car accident where his vehicle flipped into a ditch, injuring him and his two other passengers near Archwood Drive on September 21st. One of the passengers advised officers that they were coming from a nearby bar after having a few alcoholic beverages. Kimberly, another passenger, stated she asked Cross if he was OK to drive, to which he replied yes. Cross was visibly intoxicated and could not perform any sobriety tests due to injuries, according to police. All three occupants involved were transported to Skyline Emergency Room. Officers were informed that Cross was the driver and asked him questions regarding the accident, but he was noncompliant. He was issued a citation for the DUI and was initially scheduled to self-book in October. Cross was eventually taken into custody for driving under the influence on January 20th.

18-year-old Dayton Pennington drives stolen Nissan with another car’s tags attached via duct tape

18-year-old Dayton Pennington ran a red light at the Rivergate Parkway and Blue Boulevard intersection on the afternoon of June 27th, 2023. Officers observed this, conducted a traffic stop, and noticed Pennington had a learner’s permit with a licensed passenger under 21 years old. He was cited for the violation. Then, on December 29th, he was seen by officers on Myatt Drive driving a stolen Nissan sedan with temporary tags attached via duct tape that, when scanned, belonged to a red Ford Escape. While officers were running the tags, Pennington walked around the corner, trying to escape, but returned when officers told him to. When asked about the temporary tag, Pennington advised them that he knew the vehicle was stolen and that it was his friend’s. Then, he told them he was driving the Nissan from one parking spot to another and admitted to smoking marijuana in the car. Pennington consented to a search of the vehicle, where officers located two pipes and a jar of marijuana. The VIN was removed from the driver’s door and covered on the dashboard, but they confirmed that the Nissan was reported stolen on December 15th. Pennington was taken into custody for the theft of a vehicle and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia on December 30th. Additionally, he was charged for failing to book himself on the state citation for not having a license in June 2023.

DUI: Thomas Fields drinks “two beers” at Hooters before driving

55-year-old Thomas Fields was jailed on Saturday after causing an accident on Gallatin Pike North and Conference Drive. Fields admitted to rear-ending another vehicle with his Dodge Charger at the traffic light. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to Skyline ER for the injuries he sustained during the accident.  Officers observed Fields using his vehicle to balance himself. He had a noticeable odor of alcohol coming from his breath, along with watery, glassy eyes. He admitted to officers that he had two beers before the accident while he was at Hooters. Fields agreed to a breath sample and blew a .229% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Nakia Stevenson charged with DUI after found down a steep embankment inside vehicle

48-year-old Nakia Stevenson was inside a vehicle in a steep embankment around the intersection of Campbell Rd and Greycroft Ave early Friday morning. An off-duty officer saw the vehicle and found Nakia inside the vehicle, which smelled like marijuana. In the driver’s floorboard was an empty tequila bottle. Police and EMS stated that they smelled alcohol on Nakia’s breath and noted other signs of intoxication. Nakia covered her mouth while speaking at points and performed poorly on sobriety tests. When police searched her vehicle, they found two more empty tequila bottles in her glove box.

Russell Kerr: 7 beers, anabolic steroids, and syringes, oh my

25-year-old Russell Kerr was found near Palestine Ave. with the driver-side door ajar, asleep in the front seat of his silver Chevy truck on the side of the highway on August 19th. Officers observed Kerr snoring, shirtless, and shoeless while officers were attempting to wake him, but he was incoherent. Kerr could not stand alone and used his vehicle to keep his balance, showing visible signs of intoxication. Kerr consented to conduct field sobriety tests, which he performed poorly on. Later, he admitted to officers that he consumed two beers at 7 p.m. the day prior. Inside Russell’s vehicle, police found a bottle containing Trenbolone acetate (anabolic steroids) with some missing and six syringes. He refused to give a blood or breath sample, so he was arrested for DUI.

Kaya Crawford jumps from moving SUV to assault woman outside 3000 Bar in Nashville

24-year-old Kaya Crawford is charged with the assault of Timesha Douglas at 300 Bar Nashville during an incident on December 20. Police say the two parties were having a verbal disagreement on the sidewalk as they approached the disturbance. Crawford initially got into a white SUV, and Douglas walked along the sidewalk. As both continued on Demonbreun, Crawford jumped from the moving SUV and began to beat Douglas on the sidewalk. Sgt. Reese once again intervened between the two, and Crawford refused to listen to commands and pulled away to continue assaulting Douglas. She refused to cooperate when she was being placed under arrest and was charged with assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

Ja’Korey Hunter charged with assault of woman at gay bar in Nashville; she punches him in face

21-year-old Ja’Korey Hunter was at Play Dance Bar at 2 a.m. Saturday when police say he sexually assaulted Brittanee Anderson. According to witnesses and video of the incident, Hunter walked up behind the victim, who was dancing with her friend, Kolton Dixon. He then reportedly put his arms around her waist and then placed his hand up her dress, touching her genital area and fondling her. She immediately confronts Hunter and punches him in the face.
