DUI: Tyler-Anne Ogg crashes; hides a bottle of Evan Williams in the glovebox

36-year-old Tyler-Anne Ogg was jailed early in the morning on March 21st for causing an accident on Old Hickory Boulevard. Police were told that one of the drivers seemed to be drunk. Police spoke with the driver of the other vehicle, who told them that Ogg was falling down as she walked before she got into her car. He said he was turning left when Ogg ran a red light and caused the collision.

When police spoke with Ogg, she was sitting in the passenger’s seat. She was unaware of what was happening or that she was in an accident. She asked if anyone had gotten hurt, and the officer told her she was alone in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Ogg reeked of alcohol, spoke slowly, and her eyes were watery. She admitted to having something to drink but didn’t respond when she was asked how much she had to drink. She took a long time trying to find her license and asked the officer to hold a deck of cards while looking. She found her license, and as she was looking for proof of car insurance, she opened the glove box, and an officer saw a mostly consumed bottle of Evan Williams Bourbon.

When she realized what was in the glove box, she shut it, but the officer said, “I already saw it,” and asked her to keep looking for the insurance. She refused sobriety tests and also refused to get out of her vehicle for quite some time. When she finally got out, she could barely walk and asked the officer if he would hold her hand; he had to hold on to her arm to keep her from falling.

Chad Barber charged in assault of female roommate

41-year-old Chad Barber was arrested after attacking his roommate over an argument about rent money. On Mar 3rd, Susan Slonecker reported she was hiding in the laundry room after Barber allegedly assaulted her. When officers arrived, she was in the laundry room, speaking rapidly about the events that took place. She pointed to her armpit area and explained that Barber grabbed her there and hurt her. Officers observed several scrapes and scratch marks. Barber had strangled Slonecker to the point where she could not breathe for several seconds. He used one hand to strangle her and the other to grab her aggressively all over her body. Scratches and scrapes were left on her body and throat. Slonecker claimed that she lived with Barber for about six months in a halfway house, and then they lived together for several months at the hotel. The argument started because she was having trouble sending her half of the rent from her bank to Barber’s account, which she claims she usually does without a problem. Barber denied the assault.

Kiara Neely charged in assault of sister, Ciara Neely

19-year-old Kiara Kalandra Neely was arrested Sunday and charged with domestic assault. Police say the incident began Saturday evening when Kiara’s sister, Ciara Neely, refused to leave Kiara’s apartment. Kiara called police and stated her sister Ciara had a stick and was refusing to leave. Kiara admitted to hitting her sister first to get her to leave. During the ensuing fight, Kiara punched Ciara in the stomach and slapped her in the face. Ciara also says her sister bit her hand. Police observed no physical injuries to Kiara, but Ciara had scratches on her face and hand. When asked to clarify the use of the stick, Kiara told police Ciara didn’t hit anyone with the stick. At this point, police determined Kiara Neely to be the primary aggressor and placed her under arrest for domestic assault, and transported her to booking.
