Evans Matthew Adams, 20, charged with DUI after drinking at the Golden Door in Nashville 

20-year-old Evans Matthew Adams traveling at 84 mph on I-65 South early Saturday morning, where the speed limit is 55 mph. A THP Trooper stopped the vehicle, which contained Adams and a passenger, and stated Adams reeked of alcohol. He admitted to drinking “one twelve-ounce beer” at The Golden Door before driving. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and refused to answer how impaired he felt on a scale of 1-10. He refused all further testing and was taken into custody.

India Dismukes: 105 mph in 70 mph zone… “I was late for work”

19-year-old India Dismukes was booked Thursday afternoon on a citation from April 8th when police pulled her over in her black 2012 Chrysler 300 on I-40 after they observed her speeding. Dismukes was going 105 mph in the rain in a 70 mph zone. Her excuse was that she was late for work. She failed to appear on her initial court date to self-book, causing a warrant to be issued for her arrest.

Isaiah Waitkus booked after failing to appear for speeding citation, 93 mph in a 70 mph zone

20-year-old Isaiah Waitkus was booked this week after failing to appear for a court date regarding a January citation for speeding and driving without a license. When he failed to appear, a simple citation turned into a bench warrant for his arrest. The original citation charges Waitkus with traveling at 93 mph in a 70 mph zone in his 2016 Honda Civic on January 14. The traffic stop also revealed he was driving without a license.

Madison Haneburg charged with DUI after drinking at Basement East Thursday night

23-year-old Madison Haneburg was driving at 83 mph in a 55 mph zone late Thursday night when she passed a state trooper who conducted a traffic stop. She initially pulled against the left concrete shoulder and had to be instructed to pull to the right side of the road. Officers say she reeked of alcohol upon approach and admitted to drinking three 10 oz tequila drinks at the Basement East prior to driving. She estimated her level of intoxication as a “4” when asked to rate it on a scale from 1 to 10. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was transported to booking.

Stephen Duke charged with DUI after birthday celebration at Jason Aldean’s bar

39-year-old Stephen Duke was jailed this week after speeding past State Troopers on I65 while drunk. The trooper clocked Duke at 113 MPH and pulled him over. The trooper could smell alcohol coming from the vehicle while questioning him. Duke said his birthday was on April 17th, so he and some friends went to Nashville to celebrate, and he had just left Jason Aldan Bar. He told the trooper he had his last drink about two hours ago. Once outside of the vehicle, Duke swayed as he spoke with the trooper, and he still smelled of alcohol. He agreed to sobriety tests and performed poorly. He informed the trooper that he had a loaded gun in his car. Duke’s criminal history showed he had been arrested in 2019 for a DUI and possession of a firearm under the influence.

Orlando Massey booked after missing court for speeding 90 mph in a 55 mph zone

In May of 2021, 19-year-old Orlando Massey was stopped after he was observed traveling at 90 mph in a 55 mph zone while being paced by a THP officer for approximately a half-mile. He had one job — go to court. In March of 2022, a final forfeiture warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was booked on that overnight, turning a small traffic citation into a much larger deal.

MNPD uses AirOne to catch a 14mph over the limit speeder who flees from them — Masi Kingston arrested

Metro Nashville Police inexplicably utilized the AirOne helicopter and multiple undercover units to intercept a car going 14 mph over the speed limit overnight. An arrest warrant indicates that MNPD detectives working the violent crimes initiative attempted a traffic stop on a 2013 Audi SUV for traveling 84 in a 70 mph zone. The vehicle refused to stop and reportedly fled at a high rate of speed. Air and ground units followed the vehicle to Hickory Hollow Terrace, where the sole occupant and driver, 30-year-old Masi Kingston, bailed from the vehicle and fled on foot. He was located and taken into custody, charged with misdemeanor evading arrest, and felony evading arrest by motor vehicle. Kingston is free on a $6,000 bond.

Austin Dubois charged in death of Mitchell Copeland — Confession: “I was going fast, way too fast…”

19-year-old Austin Dubois is now charged with reckless endangerment, his actions resulting in the death of 19-year-old Mitchell Copeland in March. DuBois was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Tuesday on a warrant that alleges he told investigators “I was flying, I was going fast, way too fast, way too fucking fast” while driving a 2004 Pontiac GTO. He was traveling 60 in a 35 mph zone when he entered a curve in the roadway and lost control of the vehicle. Dubois is free on a $5,000 bond.

Man booked on outstanding assault warrant after getting caught speeding down I-40

26-year-old Joshua Vaughn was charged with domestic assault and driving without a license after he was caught speeding on I-40 and was found to have no driver’s license. Police discovered he had an outstanding warrant for assault.

Joyride gone wrong: Police find marijuana in car radio during traffic stop

28-year-old Malcolm Seay was charged with possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended license, and evading arrest after he was pulled over for speeding. He was found to have a suspended license and to be in possession of marijuana stashed away in his car radio.
