28-year-old Derek Nehring admitted to police that he grabbed his wife forcefully while she was holding their baby on May 15. Sarah Nehring says she was attempting to leave with the baby when her husband grabbed her so hard that responding officers documented bruising on the victim. Derek was transported to booking and charged with domestic assault with bodily injury.
Kansas McCall Redmon says her 25-year-old boyfriend, Turner Binkley III (Trey Binkley), purchased a brownie containing Delta-8 at a store inside the Opry Mills Mall on Sunday. 34-year-old Hunter Bowman was found passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle at 1st & Mollow St. in downtown Nashville Friday. First responders say the vehicle was running and had been traveling in the wrong direction on the roadway. He reportedly became combative when they attempted to wake him up and reeked of alcohol, according to police on the scene. Bowman admitted to consuming “3 or 4” alcoholic drinks prior to driving.
Metro Nashville Police say first responders found 32-year-old Gerik Pennock passed out in the driver’s seat of his vehicle at 200 James Robertson Parkway in downtown Nashville Monday night. Nashville Fire had had him loaded into their unit for evaluation when officers arrived and found an open container of alcohol in the black Jetta, which was registered to Pennock. There was only about 1/4th of the bottle remaining. Pennock admitted to drinking prior to driving but would not state how much he had consumed. He has a prior DUI conviction in Michigan.
