How much weed is in the car? Analise Salazar: “a lot”

20-year-old Analise Salazar was jailed on April 7th after police found 60 grams of marijuana in her car during a traffic stop. Police pulled Salazar over for turning left at a red light in her Nissan Altima. When they approached her, they could smell an obvious odor of marijuana. The officers explained why she was being stopped and asked if there was any weed in the car which she replied yes. They asked her how much weed was in the car, and she replied, “A lot.” The vehicle search yielded a significant amount of marijuana separated into baggies and containers. Police also found several bongs and pipes with burnt residue, a scale, and a grinder. Salazar was transported to booking.

Dawaun Ransom busted with ‘purp,’ crystal meth, and a handgun

32-year-old Dawaun Ransom was jailed on March 31st after he was seen making a hand-to-hand drug transaction out of his red dodge challenger around Stewarts Ferry Pike. Ransom made two right turns without signaling, and a traffic stop was made in the Bell Road parking lot. When police asked him if there were any drugs or firearms in the vehicle, he told them that he smoked weed and there were roaches in a cup in the center console area. Ransom was detained, and the vehicle search yielded 30 grams of “purp” (purple fentanyl/ heroin) wrapped in 1 gram aluminum foil packages for resale, 5.6 grams of meth, one scale, and 1 Taurus G3 9mm handgun.

Nashville Police charge Ryan Murray with personal marijuana possession

32-year-old Ryan Murray was booked this week on a citation from January 4th after officers pulled him over for driving on and over the dotted roadway lines and blocking two lanes of traffic on the Korean Veterans Boulevard Bridge. Murray openly admitted that he had marijuana in the car, and his vehicle was searched. Officers located a baggie of marijuana in the center console and a pipe with residue in the sunglass holder.

Erik Valdez-Martinez: Mini Draco, marijuana, & THC cartridges, Oh My!

19-year-old Erik Valdez-Martinez was jailed on March 23rd after fleeing from the police. Detectives conducted surveillance on Elm Pike and observed a black Mercedes Sedan with temp tags that didn’t match the vehicle. Valdez had left a home on Elm Hill Pike with a rifle tucked under his jacket, as well as a bag slung over his shoulder. He got into the back seat of the Mercedes, and they left the location. Detectives and an aviation unit followed the car. The vehicle eventually ended up at Vultee Boulevard, where detectives attempted to initiate a traffic stop.

The vehicle fled from the traffic stop, and spike strips were deployed. As the vehicle continued to flee, aviation updated the vehicle’s location so detectives could follow its path. Valdez fled the vehicle with a black backpack near Kirby Avenue towards Briley Parkway. Detectives chased him on foot, yelling for him to stop. After the foot chase, a search of the backpack yielded three bags of marijuana totaling 87 grams. A box of plastic baggies, six boxes of THC cartridges, and a mini-Draco. He also admitted the 20-round magazine was his for the Draco. Three juveniles were also in the vehicle.

Antonio Rivera worked his meat stick in a South Nashville Deli

31-year-old Antonio Rivera walked into Flores Super Deli on Largo Drive in South Nashville on March 18 and walked into the kitchen of the deli, where he pulled down his pants, sat in a chair, and began to masturbate vigorously. Metro Nashville Police arrived and noticed he had a crack pipe in his mouth, which they took and demanded he pull up his pants, finished or not. He continued to pleasure himself, at which point officers removed him from the chair and pulled his pants up for him. He was transported to booking and charged with public indecency and drug paraphernalia.

DUI: Tourists Salvador Gonzalez & Julissa Carrillo drive on closed Broadway downtown

33-year-old Salvador Gonzalez & 38-year-old Julissa Carrillo were jailed Saturday evening after driving onto a closed road on Broadway between 4th and 5th Avenue. The road was closed and marked with traffic cones, police in travel lanes, and barriers at intersections. Gonzalez, the driver, was flagged down and informed the road was closed. He stopped for a short period of time and then quickly sped off, causing his tires to screech, stopping again a short distance later. When police spoke with Gonzalez, they immediately noticed red, watery eyes and smelled alcohol coming from him. When the vehicle was searched, a small baggie and a small jar of marijuana were found weighing 3.6 grams. Carrillo was the passenger; once she got out of the vehicle, she was very disruptive while police tried to interview Gonalez. Carrillo was shouting and trying to walk toward him. She was given multiple warnings to stop and stay back but continued shouting and trying to disrupt the interview. She was booked for disorderly conduct.

Daniel Lynch says ‘Cinnabon’ bought drugs with his money; as he foamed at the mouth

59-year-old Daniel Lynch was found screaming and yelling, “I’m going to fucking kill her!” while standing in a breezeway at the Meridian Apartments on Old Hickory Blvd. He then began to toss things from a 3rd-floor balcony. Officers were flagged down and Lynch told them he was upset because ‘Cinnabon’ used his money to buy drugs. Lynch admitted he had been drinking but denied any drug use, despite foaming at the mouth during the interaction. Management says the apartment was supposed to be empty. When officers were clearing the apartment, they located a crack pipe and several items of drug paraphernalia, along with Lynch’s ID and phone.

Tony Spurlock arrested during MNPD’s “Illegal Camping Patrol” in downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville Police Officer Garrett Short woke up 51-year-old Tony Spurlock as he slept on the bank of the Cumberland River at 11 a.m. on February 14. Officers noted they were conducting “extra patrols for illegal camping” as part of the quality of life team at Central Precinct. Officers noticed the no trespassing signs and that Spurlock had a previous warning, so they took him into custody for criminal trespassing. During a search incident to the arrest of the sleeping man, officers located two glass pipes on his person and additionally charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia. This was his first arrest in Nashville.

Peter Taylor charged with possessing a crack rock & push rod outside Nashville Rescue Mission

55-year-old Peter Taylor faces drug possession and paraphernalia charges after he spoke with Metro Nashville Police Officers at the Nashville Rescue mission in December. During their conversation about an unrelated charge, Taylor reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. Officers say they observed a ‘push rod’ in his pocket and, during a search, also retrieved a crack rock. He was cited for drug possession and drug paraphernalia. He was booked on that citation this week.

Damondre Hayes faces cocaine, handgun, and marijuana charges after traffic stop

19-year-old Damondre Hayes faces multiple weapon and drug charges after an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle he was a passenger in on January 26 when the license plate returned as not on file and did not have a functioning license plate light. As officers approached the red Nissan Altima, a bag of marijuana was in plain view in the front seat. All occupants were removed, and Hayes was found with 5.5 grams of cocaine, 31.6 grams of marijuana, and a Glock handgun.
