Felon in car spotted with loose marijuana; search yields 9mm Beretta

26-year-old Samuel Hall was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and felon in possession of a handgun after officers found a grinder in his car as well as a Berreta under his passenger seat.

On October 23rd, Metro Nashville Police Officers were patrolling the area of 1410 Murfreesboro Road at HomeTowne Studios. They spotted and approached a maroon vehicle parked there. Through the window that was rolled down, officers could detect the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Officer Reaves noticed a plastic bag in the top door of the passenger side as well as loose marijuana on Samuel Hall’s lap.

Samuel was asked if he had anything illegal, at which point he grabbed the plasitc bag and displayed it to the officer. When searched, police found a grinder, a bag of marijuana, as well as a loaded 9MM Berreta Px4 Storm under his passenger seat. Samuel was also found to be a verified felon for a previous robbery and weapon possession. He denied owning any of the 7 grams of marijuana that was seized.

Samuel Hall was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and felon in possession of a handgun. He was released on a $7,000 bond.
