36-year-old Michelle Abeyta was charged with domestic assault after she reportedly “lost her mind” and ripped a man’s dreadlock out of his head. A groundskeeper had to keep the couple separated until officers arrived.
On November 11th, Metro Nashville Police officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at The Hillside Crossing located at 717 Spence Lane. Timothy Davis told officers that he and Michelle Abeyta had been in a verbal altercation that became physical when she started pulling his head around by his hair and ripped out an entire dreadlock.
According to the affidavit, a groundskeeper, who was working at the time, had to force his way into the room after Davis called saying that Abeyta was “losing her mind”. The employee stayed between both of them until officers arrived, while Abeyta continuously charged at Davis in an aggressive manner.
Michelle Abeyta was arrested and charged with domestic assault. She was later released on a $1,000 bond.
