Man jailed after childhood associate says 4 men mugged him

24-year-old Kevonte Whitehead was charged with especially aggravated robbery after a man told officers he and 3 other men mugged him, taking jewelry, $1,000 cash, a Nintendo Switch, Air Pods, and iPhone XR, and a Jordan bag.

On January 29th, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to a robbery located at 721 Madison Square. According to the affidavit, Quinton Greer was meeting with another individual from Facebook to sell a pair of earrings. Two vehicles pulled up and four males including Kevonte Whitehead got out of a vehicle and began to kick and punch Quinton. Two females then appeared from a Mazda sedan and the men were observed going back to the car with them.

All 6 individuals eventually left the scene and as they were pulling away, Quinton stated they pointed firearms at him and warned they would shoot him dead where he stood. Quinton claimed the loss of a pair of earrings, $1,000 cash, a gray Nintendo Switch, white AirPods, iPhone XR, and a Jordan bag in the incident. He also believed his jaw had been broken and was barely able to speak with officers at the scene. Quinton and Kevonte have known each other since middle school.

On December 1st, Kevonte Whitehead was arrested and charged with especially aggravated robbery. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
