55-year-old Dennis Dorian Mehiel was speeding on I-40 West on July 4th, 2023. Officers observed Mehiel going 80 mph in a 60 mph zone with construction workers present. Officers conducted a traffic stop and cited him for the violation that day. After failing to appear in court, Mehiel was booked on the citation of speeding in a construction zone on April 18th, 2024.
