37-year-old Robert James Williamson was taken into custody for public intoxication on April 25th.  At around 9:25 p.m., officers were called to the TSA checkpoint at BNA Airport regarding an intoxicated individual, later identified as Williamson. When they arrived, they noticed he struggled to stand up and reeked of alcohol. Officers repeatedly asked him to provide them with his driver’s license, during which he kept forgetting what he was doing. Then, Williamson told them he traveled with a co-worker, who was already at her gate. So, officers asked him if he could call her to ensure his safety, but he did not. Officers deemed him unable to care for himself and then detained him for the occurrence.
