18-year-old Kaden Barber assaults girlfriend for attempting to meet unknown person

18-year-old Kaden Barber had an altercation with his girlfriend, Erica Wolfenbarger, at her apartment complex on December 18th. Wolfenbarger advised that she received a message from an unknown number asking if she wanted to meet and hang out; she agreed and went outside to wait for the stranger. A red car approached, and she noticed it was Barber and his friend James. Barber got out of the car, walked up to her, started pushing her, yelling, “We’re doing this now!?” He grabbed her purse, threw it into a construction site, snatched her phone, threatened to break it, and said, “You might get your phone back if we talk.” Then, he told her she was not getting it back and smashed it on the ground. She picked it up, realized it was broken, and told him she no longer wanted it. She was scared and wanted to find a way to notify the police, so she told him they should walk and talk about their problems. They walked to Skyline Hospital, and she stated she needed to go to the bathroom. He agreed but told her he was coming in with her. She notified security that she needed help as she checked in and went to the restroom; he followed her, telling her he did not trust anyone and warned her not anyone about what was going on. A police officer entered the bathroom, and Barber left the hospital. Barber was taken into custody on December 19th for domestic assault.
