Judy Lane denied boarding a flight three times in two days for being too intoxicated to fly

60-year-old Judy Lane was jailed Friday morning after she was removed from a Southwest airline airplane for being extremely intoxicated. When police arrived on the scene Judy was in a wheelchair and was talking to Southwest airline employees at the gate. The officer could immediately smell alcohol coming from her. Police asked if Lane had been drinking earlier, it took her a few moments to answer but she admitted that she had. She was asked if anyone can pick her up and she said “Yes, in Pheonix.” Because of this answer officers asked Lane if she knew where she was. It took her quite some time before she answered that she was in Nashville. She could not find her license, so she gave police permission to look through her bag to find it. When looking through the bag, officers saw multiple bottles of prescription narcotics with her name on it. She was asked if she had taken any of the medication today and replied “no.” After speaking with Southwest employees, police discovered that she was denied boarding twice the day before for being intoxicated.
