Kiril Johnson scares Southwest Airlines passengers into thinking a bomb was on the plane

42-year-old Kiril Johnson caused a disturbance at BNA airport around 7 p.m. on May 4th. When officers arrived, they located Johnson and spoke with Southwest Airlines employees, who stated that during a conversation with other passengers, he said there was a “bomb” on the plane. When questioning him, he repeatedly told officers that “The plane to Los Angeles would not be making it safely” and made other statements about the safety of the passengers and the aircraft. Three employees advised that they heard the threats of a “bomb,” and while they spoke with officers, several passengers came up asking if the flight was safe to board. They deployed K-9s to sweep the area, but they did not find anything. Johnson was then taken into custody for a false report.
