DUI Arrest: Woman passed out in car while parked in bike lane #EastNashville

Metro Police responded to call of a woman passed out behind the wheel of her car while parked in a bicycle lane on Tuesday afternoon. Erin Knoerr was charged with DUI, driving on a revoked license, and violation of the implied consent law.

Metro Nashville police arrested to the scene mid-afternoon to find Nashville Fire Department medics already had the 34-year-old woman, identified as Erin Nicole Knoerr, in the back of the ambulance after waking her from the driver’s seat of the vehicle, which was parked in the bicycle lane on Cahal Avenue.

Police say Knoerr refused all medical assistance from the paramedics but did admit to drinking ‘the night before’. She reportedly had an odor of alcohol about her, with slurred speech, and unsteadiness when standing. Officers located an empty bottle of Skol Vodka in the floorboard of the vehicle on the passenger side.

Knoerr was booked into the Metro Jail on charges of driving under the influence, driving on a revoked license, and violation of the implied consent law. She is free on pre-trial release.
