67-year-old Donna Shutt was charged with domestic assault when she threw a metal basket attached to her walker at a relative after getting angry about their conversation.
On May 21st, Metro Nashville Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at 1008 Debow Street in Old Hickory. Upon arrival, James J. Shutt told officers he went into the kitchen to talk to her.
According to the affidavit, he couldn’t remember what he was going in the room to tell her. But he thought it was about his blood sugar. Before he got the chance to finish what he was saying, she grew angry and threw the metal basket from her walker at him. He ended up with a visible cut on his left elbow. He pushed her back into her chair to stop the fight.
Donna Shutt was arrested and charged with domestic assault. Her bond was set at $1,000.
