50-year-old James Sanders was charged with vulnerable adult abuse after he repeatedly kicked his mother’s walker while getting into an argument with her about withdrawing $2,000 from her 401k to give to her grandchild.
On March 19th, Georgia Sanders reported to police that her son James Sanders went to her house and brought a few items to her. She said as she was sitting on her bed with her walker in front of her, she asked James to help her complete her 2020 census forms.
Georgia went on to say at that point, James started arguing with her about taking $2,000 from her 401k to give it to her grandchild. According to the affidavit, James started repeatedly kicking Georgia’s walker causing it to hit against and bruise her right arm. She says she tried to stop him but was unsuccessful. Officers noted that Georgia is 74 years old, is diabetic, has declining health, and requires a walker to get around.
