29-year-old Josue Alvarez was charged with attempted robbery after he struck him multiple times in the head and then tried to steal his wallet, per report.
On August 10th, Officer Sherry was dispatched to 919 Woodmont Blvd. William Pearson stated he witnessed Josue Contreras-Alvarez assaulting Fabion Cortez as he was driving by the location.
Officers made contact with Fabion who stated Josue approached him and struck him multiple times in the face, causing visible swelling and to his left orbital bone and cuts to his forehead. Fabion stated that Josue then attempted to take his wallet from his pocket. Maria Cerrato was able to provide video footage that placed Fabion and Josue at the scene.
Josue Alvarez was arrested and charged with attempted robbery. His bond was set at $25,000.
