66-year-old Harvey Sylvester was charged with aggravated assault after he pulled out a knife and lunged at a woman trying to stab her in the stomach.
On August 10th, officers were dispatched to 5100 Centennial Blvd where Amy Rottero was assaulted by Harvey Sylvester. Rottero stated she was loading up her car with items she had bought when Harvey approached her and asked for a bottle of water, which he received. After receiving the bottle from her, he then asked if he could have some cash, which she told him she didn’t have.
Rottero then said she noticed him turn his body then pulled out a knife and lunged at her trying to stab her in the stomach, placing her in fear for her life. Rottero said she screamed, and Harvey then took off on foot. Harvey was found at the corner of 56th Ave North and Kentucky Avenue where he was placed under arrest, and no weapon was found.
Harvey Sylvester was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. His bond was set at $25,000.
